I know hes not gonna be the guy that they call up but if maybin continues his hot streak maybe the call him up in a couple of weeks, this team needs some kind of spark
I agree the team needs some sort of jump start but I still dont think Maybin should be brought up this year at all.

striking out 74 times in 206 at bats?
Ok... before I do this, first of all... I don't advocate bringing up Maybin, yet... BUT, this is more about how to effectively use stats, vis a vis how I did re: John Baker yesterday... using the full thing at this point in the season isn't that useful...
Maybin in April:
AB H 2B 3B HR W IW HP K SH SF GDP AVG OBP SLG OPS BABIP G L F P B U
89 20 0 2 3 19 0 1 37 1 0 0 0.225 0.367 0.371 0.738 0.347 32 4 12 3 1 1
Maybin in May:
AB H 2B 3B HR W IW HP K SH SF GDP AVG OBP SLG OPS BABIP G L F P B U
106 29 5 1 4 12 0 1 35 0 1 0 0.274 0.350 0.453 0.803 0.373 31 11 23 3 3 1
Dude's been progressively getting better, and he's been cutting down on the strikeouts, just like I've said... right now he's really doing a heck of a job of learning the strike zone, and learning breaking balls. He's not just going up there and playing, he's got a plan, with the help of the organization. I have no idea WHEN, but one day, Cam is gonna wake up and put it all together, this is just indicative of the learning curve.
I agree with this because the reason you send someone down to the minors is for him to improve his game which is what cameron is doing, and if he continues this it should only be a matter of time till he gets called up.
