April 17, 200818 yr Completely disregarding any situation in which a company buys the naming rights for the new Marlins' stadium (and obviously ruling out "Marlins' Stadium"), I want to see some creative names for the stadium.
April 17, 200818 yr I know you said "Completely disregarding any situation in which a company buys the naming rights", but I really don't see Jeffrey Loria NOT selling the naming rights, so here are a few major companies that are based in Miami. (at least ones that I know of) (btw, would you guys consider CompUSA a major company? I see them every once in a while, but they're definitely below BestBuy and Circuit City) -Bacardi -Burger King -Bank United -CompUSA -DHL -Ryder Bacardi Park Bacardi Field Bacardi Stadium ---------------- Burger King Park Burger King Field Burger King Stadium ----------------- Bank United Park Bank United Field Bank United Stadium ---------------- CompUSA Park CompUSA Field CompUSA Stadium ------------------- DHL Park DHL Field DHL Stadium ------------------ Ryder Park Ryder Field Ryder Stadium
April 17, 200818 yr Selling the naming rights would be a huge profit for the team....I don't know why anyone would be against it.
April 17, 200818 yr I've been mentioning Bacardi Ballpark for a while now. I like it. But I would have to guess that the lead would have to go to either DHL or BK. I wouldn't mind either. Non-bought naming rights (Highly unlikely), I go with "The Ballpark in Marlington"

Would that really change peoples images of the us?
April 17, 200818 yr What about Carnival Cruise Lines, aren't they headquartered in Miami? Carnival Park? Mickey Arison (owner of the Heat and Carnival) will not plunk down money to help another professional team in the same city as his team.

Yeah, I was thinking the same, which is why I didn't mention them. There is always Royal though. Royal Caribbean Park? Ballpark of the Seas?
April 17, 200818 yr Bacardi Field at the Orange Bowl? I would love to see some kind of Orange Bowl tribute in the name.
April 17, 200818 yr How about just calling it the Orange Bowl..... keep the name alive! Keep the Spirit going! The Orange bowl has seen many championships over the years....Dolphins and Canes!
April 17, 200818 yr Ripley's Believe-It-Or-Not Park It's only taken a decade to get it done, and there will still be some doubters that the park is going to happen even after the thing opens up!! It would only be appropriate...
April 17, 200818 yr Author Selling the naming rights would be a huge profit for the team....I don't know why anyone would be against it. I didn't really mean that I was just thinking out loud and writing. Just put any possible names. sorry for the confusion
