Ideas for names

Fish Field

I was going to suggest this one. Especially so that we could preserve the (soon to be) outdated fish-over-F logo on the Stadium's signs once the team changes its name to Miami.

I've never cared too much for the "F" logo, in fact, the Mets can have it for all I care.

Agreed. The M logo is much nicer

I really don't like either one of them, to tell you the truth. The fish looks like its dead.

Bacardi Park or Bacardi Field, I think, takes the cake. Maybe Bacardi Stadium, but I favor Bacardi Park. Burger King won't be too bad because I like their logo and it would look nice on the stadium even though its colors don't match the Marlins' (even though Bacardi or Publix doesn't either). But just think about how bad ass it would be if our new stadium is named Bacardi. The Bacardi family has a long history in Miami. It is a Cuban family and Cubans love baseball. It is so ideal, and not to mention, nothing says Miami more than Bacardi (can anyone say "Bartender, can I have a rum and coke" at the Bacardi bar in the new Marlins stadium watching Hanley CRIZUSH one?)

whats the chances that it becomes Seminole Miccosukee Field?

Zero and none, being that those are two completely separate tribes that have no relation to each other.

The only problem is that I do not think MLB would allow a ballpark to be named after liquor.

Busch Stadium? Coors Field? Miller Park?

Okay, none of those are named after hard liquor, but still....

So our park can be:

Corona Field

Hatuey Park

Presidente Park

Dos Equis (XX) Park

Celia Cruz Field

No way are we naming our stadium after a dead woman. That's a curse waiting to happen. :thumbdown

Bacardi is such a cool name. I'd love it if the stadium were named Bacardi Field or Bacardi Park. It just stands out in a good way.

What other companies are based in Miami? :mis2

Burger King. McDonalds has a pretty tight connection with Miami as well, but I don't think that McDonalds will even go near the naming rights for the stadium

However, technically, the new stadium isn't in the "Sawesera," but, then again, who cares it still would be funny. I thought it was also funny that NW 17 Ave., the street that borders the site on the east is Willy Chirino Way.

We're not all Cuban...actually, most of us are not Cuban.

But the location of the stadium is in Little Havana....so just put on some Cuban references there for

the fun of it

El Dorado Furniture Field

Miami Dade County Stadium

Bicardi Orange Bowl Park

or just simply: Marlins Stadium (until someone buys into the park)

could always use BramenGoHome Field, but he would probably create another lawsuit.
