  1. Guess who has internet access??? LISIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII! YAY! but were losing I know. it feels like every time I get on they decide to lose on a massive scale. I want to destroy the phillies!!!!
  2. Awwww, this literally made me smile. Congrats to you!!!
  3. can't find a good pic of him, but Josias Manzanillo. C'mon that obsessive groin-slamming had to attract the ladies, no? The story behind that is awesome. Share. A comebacker off Manny got him in the privates when he wasn't wearing a cup. He ended up losing one of them and when he returned, he always wore a cup. He was constantly so afraid that he forgot his cup that he was always "nut checking" himself. Jesus, I remember him smacking himself over the head, but I didn't know about the nut checks! Ow!

  5. Oh, we have stereotypes for everyone! I feel it's a way we put people into our little boxes, or categorize individuals. It's sad, but true.
  6. Hello, another female poster here! Sorry to hear about your husband!
  7. I would not disown them but I am taking to using the word Marlins as a substitute for various words that refer to nasty and bad things. "I shouldn't have had those chili dogs, not I have to take a huge Marlins", stuff like that. I think I'm going to adopt your word usage if they get any worse.
  8. Bradley Cooper played for the Marlins? I thought he sort of looked like the lead singer from Creed. I thought he looked like Christian Bale... Right? Also, how about Carl Pavano. Not only is he attractive, but he also stuck to the Yanks (albeit, unintentionally).
  9. I'm here! Hello friends! I'm ready to kick some butt.
  10. I feel that we watch the Marlins/baseball for two reasons, # 1 To see them Play Good Ball # 2 To see them win and progress as a form of pleasure If these two things dont happen then whats the use of watching them play, just becuase you cease to follow the marlins when their down doesnt mean your a fair weather fan, its just your way of showing them your dis-pleased and who wants to watch a team thats always losing, what so we can watch the mermaids? I kinda agree with you. Watching any form of sport is an investment, if not time, then money. Next week, I'm going to a couple of games, but in order for me to do this, it involves me first driving 5-6 hours back down to Miami and then going and wasting money. I'm less inclined to do this if I pretty much KNOW that my team is not going to win, and lately it feels this way.
  11. When they're in a fat losing streak they'll be my "commercial channel" when i'm watching TV as opposed to my prime choice. But I can't blame the Fish for the big stinky dump the sports gods took on florida this early summer. Lightning out, Heat implode, Fish on skids, Seminoles get stomped on. God damn, it was looking like SOMEONE would have at least ONE championship. The Gators can still win the College World Series I would love for that to happen! =] As would I. Me three!!!

  13. I really never understood the whole 'Jorge Cantu looks like a monster' thing. Granted he's got a bit of prune shudder on his face, which is somewhat ugly, he's not as monstrous as portrayed lol. His hair is thinning in an odd pattern, his facial hair sucks and his skin shows terrible scarring caused by acne. He's absolutely not attractive, in fact, he's sub par in the looks category. My use of the word monstrosity was not to actually call him a monster, more as in, "the man is an aberration to the eye." a lesson to all guys who aren't good looking, find yourself a blind girl because otherwise your life will suck. That is, unless you can find a woman who isnt so shallow and will judge you beyond your looks. oh yeah good luck to that! Awww, poor baby. Please, go cry about it. I have my subjective opinion, and it's that Jorge Cantu is ugly as sin, and if that in some way offends you, I'm NOT sorry.

  15. This game is a total piece of crap. I'm uncertain as to why I'm still watching.
  16. Fingers crossed we start a winning streak! Its Vazquez. That won't help. I've also knocked on wood, pulled out a rabbit's foot and found a four leaf clover.
  17. Fingers crossed we start a winning streak!
  18. I'm a perfectly straight man and I'd bang Lowell. Anyways... Jorge Cantu, anyone? :mischief I really liked Cantu as a human being and he didn't suck with the Marlins, but quite honestly, he's a monstrosity to behold...in the looks department, I mean. And I wouldn't judge you for your man love of Lowell; it's understandable.
  19. ENGLAND f***ING RULES. If this turns into a fistfight i'll represent Americans for Matty and shout and boo incoherently while staunchly refusing to sing songs. As the Gators broughtup, I think the whole song singing chanting thing is alot more popular in college sports. I think alot of that has to do with the personal relationship people have with those teams. You ARE a Gator, 'Nole, Duck whatever. And the tickets are free if you're a student so it helps with having that consistent presence. Yanks have got the Bleacher Creatures. My favorite chant of theirs is box seats suck. and buying shots of liqour in the bathroom because they stopped selling beer in that section. but i don't know any others off hand. We've had our own little traditions throughout the years but they seem to wax and wane. people wearing Chef's Hat's for Sheffield Trendy by Reel Big Fish and accompanying dance (Everybody's doin the Fish...) Conductors hats for the D-Train Cliffhangers for Cliff Floyd Mermaids and Manatees Maybe the FO should take the Mermaids and Manatees which are mainstays, seat THEM in a section(somewhere cheap); and since they're at nearly every game they can create the cheers then come out and dance. That would be a way to keep things consistent until they catch on. *cough cough* The Gators have Bleacher Creatures, too. *cough cough*
  20. I'm loving all this gif usage!!!!
  21. The rest of Europe is much better than this country. Very passionate fans, some great chants ect. That bottom one is brilliant. Lech Poznan are known for there turning backs and jumping together routine when they score. I personally would love to see something like this in American sport. An example of how it can be done, is Greek giants Panithanikos(Spellcheck) going to a basketball game. taking 20000 fans and making it epic. Imagine this at a Lakers game, ha After seeing this sentence.... Apologies, by this country i mean ENGLAND! In which case, I'll no longer blindly ignore your points/posts.
