Agree but Bendix paying $7M per 1 WAR is anathema to how Bendix runs his shop (he’d rather pay $3M for -.6 WAR)

Luzardo trade was trading a top 5 SP for a utility IF to save $7M. people hate jazz here but the Yankees absolutely slaughtered the marlins on the trade WAR wise. Trevor rogers has more WAR than Stowers since the trade and it was for Norby anyway. Victor mesa is destroying it for the rays. This team has literally 2 actual starting pitchers for about 2 months now. Bendix has literally not signed a single FA that has produced positive value. They sold at the deadline. There are absolutely some positive things and this draft class looks promising and we have some injured young SPs coming back (still unknowns), but the aggregate moves are pretty lackluster to absolutely mind boggling (Luzardo). This is really not a fun team to watch and hasn’t been for months, and maybe it works if in 2028/29, but the cumulative effect of trading elite guys to save salary and having the season be a never ending spring training is getting very old
