Castillo to Cubs?
I wouldnt mind a swap of Grudzy for Castillo..... if it had to be done i woundnt mind it eitehr, but right now. if it was for next season, no way. I think gruds is more of a .265-75 hitter. Hes just fluking it out this year.

Barry Larkin done in Cincy..... maybe
Cincy's ownership BLOWS.... Lindner and Allen promised them they would be competitive and that they would go out and get some missing pieces and they DIDNT.... ask and Cincy fan and I am sure they would agree that their ownership sucks u cant say they didnt try ok. they got griffey when he was in his prime and they went out and signed larkin when he was pretty good. What else could they have done? it wasnt ownership. it was badluck. and alot of it.

u dont make any sense rune. ok you are right. in 1998 the marlins should have held on to piazza because he was the best player and not gotten burnett, p. wilson and lee for brown. you are right. mantei should have been kept and alfonseca too.

lol you are funnie. Larkin has had the franchise afloat, but now hes sinking it lmao. 9 million a year for being on the DL? they are being kind enough to offer him a generous coaching/ST job. according to you, they should resign him for 5 million right? just because he was there for so long? i dont undrstand ur logic. Boone? lol another one. they had to let him go. once you fire his dad, he is a distraction to the rest of the team. they got AWESOMe prospcet for him too. yanks were dumb and reds need pithin pictchin pitchin PITCHINg. gabe white? lol umm who cares? guillen? he is going to be a free agent. might as well get good pitching prospects for him instead of over paying him when he can be just a one year wonder... and yes, trading relievers is the best thing to trade. because they can be re;placed the easisst and playoff contenting teams will overpay in the middle of the season for them. now, pittsbrug is who you should be dissing. not cincy

Better owner? that has nothing to do with it. Jim Bowden an a**hole? He was a GM. and if you look back at all his trades and transactions, he did a Okay job. Its Boone and the ownership that was bad. So marge is better because the new owner signed the fan favorite Larkin for 27 million? Marge was just portrayed as good, but she was really non existant. She was just a mediocre owner. Just because shes the only female owner doesnt mean shes automatically good. oh and bowden is bad because he wanted to trade larkin? i dont get what you are tyring to say. O and the new ownership got a new stadium and griffey. larkin was signed also. in 2000, being a red fan was the thing to be. Just bad luck from there afterwards then it all went to hell in a handbasket.

ESPN's top 10 pickups from the offseason
Why should he be first their's so many on that list that have done more than him and some for cheap as well e.g. Mueller and Ortiz. Also your saying that Pudge has done better than Thome or even Pierre. Pierre is The Marlins MVP in my book and he made Samson look smart with the whole run and gun scheme. Pudge should be somewhere on the list but no way in hell #1 Mueller and Ortiz are products of their environment. (fenway)

Mr. Marlin = Willy Mays?
that play was sad Preston really was "every day, every game, all heart" I'm glad things have worked out for him in Denver no i think preston was more like, everyday, everygame 0-4 and 4 k's lol

Mr. Marlin = Willy Mays?
yea but this catch was better because it was a more improtant game.
-
Mr. Marlin = Willy Mays?
what a monster. What a catch. I thought he was sluggish. Is he related to Jim Edmonds or Willy mays? He is the golden marlin.

Looper and Urbina wont trade Roles
This is the same ol' argument we have after every save Looper blows. And I think that Looper is a good closer. He has done a lot for the Marlins. Do you want to have Looper pitch in the 8th? The job Uggy does so well is shut down 8th inning rallies. Do you want Loop coming in with a runner on 3rd in the 8th as opposed to coming on with nobody on in the 9th? Yes, a closer is important, but overrated. ** standing ovation*** BRAVO, BRAVO, ENNNCORRREE ENCORREE!!!!!!!!! You said it

Cab's at short?
I've been wondering myself how Cabrera would handle shortstop in the majors. It seems pretty clear that Gonzo will always be the least productive player in our lineup offensively and -- let's face it -- while he does make the occasional defensive gem at short, he also makes the occasional boneheaded play. If Cabrera could handle playing shortstop (and he's stated that he's always wanted to play shortstop), that would allow us to have both Conine (in left) and Lee (at first) in the lineup next season. If Cabs could play short, then instead of looking to trade Lee this offseason, we could trade Agon and let Pudge sign elsewhere. An infield of Lee, Castillo, Cabrera, and Lowell would be pretty scary. I don't know if it's financially possible, but production-wise it'd be a good course of action. I think Gonzo is way better than what y ou say he is. He is one of the best at making double plays and you have to have a real shortstop in the majors. You cant get away with even andy fox at SS. What makes you think you can get by with Cabrera when he's not a SS. He outgrew it and is not rangy/quick/flexible enough to handle it.
