Pudge should be first. Very good player and future HOF for sure. He has done good with the pitchers behind homeplate and has been a very good clutch hitter for us. Well the best out of all marlins....

Why should he be first their's so many on that list that have done more than him and some for cheap as well e.g. Mueller and Ortiz.

Also your saying that Pudge has done better than Thome or even Pierre. Pierre is The Marlins MVP in my book and he made Samson look smart with the whole run and gun scheme.

Pudge should be somewhere on the list but no way in hell #1

Mueller and Ortiz are products of their environment. (fenway)

And what if they had Pierre and not Pudge? I mean how many center fielders out there are better than Pierre? I love what Pierre's done this season, but Pudge is a hall of fame player. The Marlins probably got a terrific bargain on Pierre & better "results for the money" than on Pudge, if you want to put it that way. But please don't tell me Pierre's more valuable to the team than Pudge.

Going into this season even your FO acknowleged that the whole run and gun scheme is whaat they were aiming for and look what happened.

During The Phillies/Fish games(The Whole season), when Pierre has gotten on almost every game was a win for the fish, Pudge also struggled early on while Juan Pierre continued to cruise by getting on base, stealing and then having Mikey knock him home. During this time Luis has gotten slower if it wasn't for Pierre, you'd have guy who sometimes "forgets" to slide leading this charge. Now lets look back at the first two games of the last series.

Game 1: Pierre was kept off base, Fish lost

Game 2: Came up with huge hits and almost always got on, Fish run away with the game.

If you ever get the chance listen to another team's play by play guys when covering A Fish game almost all the time you hear "we'll for us to win, we just have to keep this guy off base. He takes away from The Pitchers focus and with a guy like Luis behind him that only adds to their threat"
