I've only posted here scarcely but I've been watching the Marlins for a long time now (since about 2006). I could go on an entire diatribe about my history as a Marlins fan, but w/e, not important. I noticed a lot of people on this board who said they were quitting being Marlins fans, jumping on the Rays wagon, which is completely asinine. The idea of switching allegiances when the goings get tough is foreign to me. All I know is the Jaguars and the Marlins (well, and Aston Villa). But at the same time, the way Loria conned the entire city on the false hope of AT LEAST being a mid-level spender only to blow it all up and become the bottom-feeders of the salary table before even an entire year had gone... even though I live in Jacksonville and didn't have to pay a single cent in taxes, as a sports fan, and more importantly, a human being and a citizen, I find it immoral to give even a penny of my money to the scumbags who run this team and, unfortunately, have no plans of selling. However, like I said, I would never switch allegiances, but I've been so hurt by my club I can't go back... my undying loyalty has put me between a rock and a hard place, so much so that I've lost all interest in the game itself. I literally have no idea where Greinke and all the big name FAs signed, all the shifts in power amongst the divisions, etc. and to be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less. I've almost become antipathetic to the whole league. My love of our wonderful national past-time has eroded before my very eyes... and it really, really hurts because I know at the bottom of my heart that I still love the art of baseball, but I can't bring myself to embrace it when the Marlins I know and love are being held hostage by that f***ing scumbag and his step-son for the foreseeable future. Edit: Wow, that title looks funny. I meant, "Has anyone else had their enthusiasm for baseball killed by the Marlins?"

Yeah I was gonna say, in Orlando (where I am moving to Jax from) they split the Rays and Marlins games on Sun Sports and FSN, respectively. The only time the Marlins wouldn't get broadcasted is if another team superceded them in the FSN broadcast (aka Rays on SUN and Magic/Lightning on FSN). I was asking because I wasn't sure if Jacksonville had the same setup but it seems it does, which is good to know. Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure the Magic don't come on TV up here, but I seem to remember the Marlins being on TV last time I was living in Jacksonville (2005). So question is, are they on cable? Or will I have to either get Extra Innings/MLB.tv or resort to less... noble methods.

Don't think those "hundreds of fans" (or whatever he said, it was something to the effect of knowing the fans in the stands on a name-by-name basis) will give him a warm welcome after the anti-Marlins crusade he went on in the media. He basically burned all of his bridges. I for one would be ready to boo him even if he did re-appear in a Marlins uniform.

Did it really take 35 minutes for this topic to be made? Boner's already extended the streak and scored another run via basepath ingenuity. How can you not love this guy?

Not that Buck has been terrible (although he certainly isn't living up to the contract), but it seems like Hayes keeps getting hits, even in a bench role. I know we have money tied up to Buck, but when can we seriously consider putting Hayes in the starting lineup?

I remember he said some very disparaging things, but I can't recall them... can someone take the time to compile them? I need to get fired up for today's game. Especially if the Giants try to retaliate for last night with some HBP... I'd love to see Gaby do his thing again on the traitor Marlin.

Same exact thing has been done before in commercials (the signing bit). Uncreative as hell but cool to see LoMo getting face time. Dude, it's a local car commercial, I don't think anyone was expecting an Oscar-worthy script. You don't have to go all Roger Ebert on us.

I hate ESPN with their Insider BS. Like 90% of their articles that are worth reading are Insider articles. Anyways, I just wanted to know if there was anything groundbreaking in this. I know it's Olney so there probably isn't, but I'd still like to see what the clown has to say.
