Caddy
I remember he said some very disparaging things, but I can't recall them... can someone take the time to compile them? I need to get fired up for today's game. Especially if the Giants try to retaliate for last night with some HBP... I'd love to see Gaby do his thing again on the traitor Marlin. anotherrealfan
From what I read, Cody just can't leave it alone in the sense instead of being happy where he is, he takes shots. Said that now with the teammates he has, he feels like you have a chance to win every time at-he says he never had that before. REally, true or not, throw your old teammates under the bus. We say the same thing about Shaq, whenever he leaves he blames someone else for any failures. Cody may be saying these little disparaging remarks innocently enough, but they come off to me poorly. Further, he tends to forget that the Giants did not want him and were not happy when the Marlins did not pull him back off of waiver. They felt they were stuck with him-just because it turned out like a fairy tale, the Giants would have turned him or cut him if they were able. Fish4Life
Fan Favorite yes, but one of the most OVER-RATED players the Marlins have ever had from a fan standpoint. Some fans thought this guy was god... He's nothing but an average baseball player.

Yeah he was average without a doubt but the hustle and heart he put into the game day in and day out is what made him a fan favorite and is why we had him starting everyday. He was also pretty clutch.

It is amazing when a guy play for us, he is great, as soon as he is gone, he is a bum, like the post on someone calling Uggla, Struggla, some oo you guys are fun. I dont ever remember cody being great. I remember him playing good d and being streaky with some clutch hits. Uggla was great here because of his bat. As he gets old his d will get worse and worse. Its already bad. There is no way his bat can keep up with the production needed to offset his d. Then where do u put him? Lf? an AL team would have done best to give him an extension but im glad the braves will hurt seemingly soon rather than later. Exactly, Cody was never GREAT, he had his hot streaks. But when he was cold, he was ICE COLD! Not worth the big contract....

"when a guy play for us"-really, try this everywhere. Hmm, seems like Lebron is known as a choker and a quitter-by Clev fans and his ex-owner. You know, how they are better off without this loser. Instead of being a self hater on Marlin fans, recognize that this happens everywhere.
Entendu
I met a girl at the movies who worked at the airport where the Marlins came in through (not sure if it was MIA) and she said that all the Marlins were nice except for Hanley, who was a bit cocky, and Cody, who was constantly complaining about how long he had to wait in line. EricWiener
I don't know what the big deal is about Cody. He was a good defensive player and an average hitter with good power. He was unhappy because we just dumped him, we didn't even trade him for a pack of smokes. He won a ring, and San Fran freaking loves him - so of course he is happy there. He was maybe a little bit above-average here. He's having a tough year, and his fielding will go downhill as he ages. He had a tremendous playoffs, obviously, and SF certainly adores him. I really liked the guy when he was here. And I was very happy for him when the Giants won the WS.
