  1. If we don't get CJ Pujols or Fielder what's plan C or D? Trade for Starting pitching? Or is there still a dark horse out there we're looking to sign? Oswalt or Wandy
  2. The fact that the Angels are still involved in negotiations for Pujols is a good sign for us. They wouldn't waste a single second with that nonsense if they were confident that they will be signing CJ.
  3. He should be our. Even with his signing, I would look to trade Gaby Sanchez for a decent pitcher like Matt Garza. That would give us a killer rotation. Lol at the thought of the Cubs giving up Garza for Gaby. And if we get CJ there is no point in sacrificing hitting for MORE pitching. We'll have plenty.
  4. If he gets 6 years it will be for 90 mil. He won't get less per year than Buehrle, more years or not.
  5. Signing CJ would yield the best starting rotation in the majors. And it would also ensure a team that is much stronger than the one that would have included just Pujols. Let's get it done.
  6. Only the Marlins could be throwing around 350 million dollars, with their crybaby star player wanting out, all while being in the middle of a federal investigation. God I love this team. You want excitement? WE HAVE EXCITEMENT
  7. Is Hanley not gonna be at the party?
  8. It sounds like to me that squall was just talking to some dude somewhat in the loop who was pretty f***ing confident that Pujols would sign with the Marlins (just as Loria, Beinfest, and Samson appeared pretty confident). All of the insinuations about it being a "done deal" were silly from the start, though. That was before Pujols played the Marlins like a drum. Seems this way to me too minus "somewhat" in the loop because obv i know him and his position. I was told it was a done deal because loria was going to get him under almost any circumstance. Everyone knew the cards weren't offering much initially. Suddenly they come back up and it seems pujols and his agent played the marlins to get more coin from the cards. Although he has never been wrong when he's shared info with me. So I still believe we will get pujols. The fact that you didn't see the Cardinals coming way up is ridiculous. Everybody knew that they weren't going to just stick with their offer from last year and let him walk. Seemed a little premature to have the party planned and everything, no?
  9. We should offer Albert an 11th year. And then when he's about to sign tell him to go F himself
  10. Have no fear, David Villavicencio and Squall said it was done. Those guys are always 100% rock solid
  11. Hey guys, I'm gonna be driving over to the new stadium for the party on Saturday that Squall mentioned, does anybody know the best way to get there from Fort Lauderdale? TIA
  12. They want to get the Reyes presser out of the way so they can focus solely on Pujols negotiations, or Buehrle/CJ if need be
  13. Wisconsin voted for us because they want to see him leave the NL central, and are voting with their hearts
