If you know of people that actually made fun of you for supporting the Marlins when they were losing like crazy, then you should be mad at *THOSE* people, but what I see alot of is perhaps jealousy. People who followed the Marlins for along time through the bad years are jealous of sharing in the success of the Marlins now. I've never seen anything like this before. Usually, people welcome others who join their side and want to share what they're experiencing. Instead, I see Yankee fans and Cub fans yelling at Marlin fans for jumping on the 'bandwagon', then watch as even Marlin fans are yelling at other Marlin fans!

What's so wrong with the picture in my sig? empty stadium try to get one from within the past month that is more filled up it makes the team look better I don't think the stadium is that empty. I found the pic in google when I tried to find a picture of the Marlin fan support and I don't see how some people can be offended when that's not a doctored pic. The fan support was not that great but it's great now.

So what? Does that mean the Marlins should not pitch Beckett more? I don't think so. If some old man like Randy Johnsen can do it, a young guy like Beckett can. GO MARLINS! Becketts a young pitcher, who's arm we want to preserve and not risk injury to. I cant really find a way to explain how dangerous pitching him on back to back days may be to his arm. I understand, how do we know Beckett won't leave the Marlins in a few years? We may as well try all we can to win a title now.

Do you know how stupid it looks for Marlin fans to bash on other Marlin fans who are supporting the team? Who cares if they just started to follow the Marlins? They're supporting the Marlins now!! If you went to a restaurant that had great food, but very little in the way of customers because not everybody knew about the great food yet, do you get mad when others discover this same restaurant and enjoy the same food you do? Do you yell at these customers for discovering the food alittle later than you? That's crazy!

Yes, I was going to say, isn't it ironic that someone who registered a whole one week before me on this board is calling me a bandwagon jumper. LOL

I think it's getting very old very fast that Marlin fans are attacking other Marlin fans just because they didn't follow the team the whole year. It's the Yankees vs the Marlins, not Marlins vs the Marlins. Why don't you save your energy and bash on Yankee fans instead of fans of your own team? I know I didn't follow the Marlins much this year until they won the Giants series, but am I the only one? Our entire community did not pay attention to them and we should apologize for catching Marlins fever now? I live down here like many of you and I wonder, do you yell at the newscasters who are the 'bandwagon' jumpers also? People that didn't give our Marlins the respect they deserved until just 2 weeks ago? Do you yell at the people with the Marlin pennants on their cars because they're supporting the team? What about the 65,000 fans that now pack the stadium? You want them all to go away and return to how it was? when only 3,000 people showed up for games? Is that what you want? Our town is the best sports town in the country for a reason, and that's because our fans show up and support winners like nobody else. Just take a look at the playoffs and the crowds at Pro Player. New York and Chicago only wishes they could support their teams like we do! GO MARLINS!

I really doubt his arm will break off if we pitch him a few more times this world series. This is the WORLD SERIES we're talking about! I know he's young but I think thats why he can get away with throwing more. Besides, who knows if Miami will be here again. Look at how long it took us to get back to the world series! I say do everything you can to win the series and worry about anything down the road and who is to say Beckett will be with Miami forever? He may leave us like the other players.

How will his arm get destroyed? he's a pitcher! he gets paid money to pitch baseballs! Notice I didn't say pitch the whole game tonight, but he can pitch alittle bit tonight and then again when we need him in game 5 or 6 and then 7 if we can get that far. We NEED to win and he can rest in the winter.

I think we need to win very badly tonight and then again game 5, so why don't the Marlins just pitch Josh Beckett more? He's young and the team needs him. Once we win this series, he can rest all he wants. Beckett has shown that he's our best shot at winning and has shown he can shut down and dominate the Yankees. He doesn't have to pitch the whole game, just a few innings when our Marlins need. If Randy Johnsen could do it for the Diamondbacks when they beat the Yankees, why not us? GO MARLINS!

I hope they build the stadium near South Beach because alot of the fans will then come out even more! Can you imagine going to the games and then stopping by the fabulous clubs and restaurants afterward? And all those models everywhere? Any thoughts on where else they should put the new stadium? GO MARLINS!

Miami definitely deserves a baseball stadium! I think it's very sad that one of the biggest media markets in the country has its baseball team playing in a football stadium. That's why I think so many people don't show up to our baseball games. Who wants to go to a baseball game when they rain out 20 times a year? Our community has proven that if you build a new stadium, the fans will show up. Just look at the Miami Heat and Florida Panthers. They have state of the art arenas and the Marlins don't have anything and we're in the WORLD SERIES! The Marlins are the only team in our community that has a world championship in the last few years and our fans have shown that we deserve better! GO MARLINS!

Whatever Yankee fan, you're just mad that we're going to sweep you out of Pro Player stadium! LOL

So what? Most of my friends and co workers are the same way, but that doesn't make us any less Marlin fans than you or the others. We all live in South Florida and want to support our team right now. Is that so hard to understand?
