Need New Stadium Full of Real Fans

:banghead Where were all of you last night????

Men? I never thought I would say this? But I wish I did not win those free tickets to yesterday?s game?

Many would have kill to get in, but after what I experienced yesterday, I think they would change their minds. That is if you have a bit of decency and love for the game.

I was happy to be able to attend the most important event in Beisball; not everyday you get to see your beloved team battling the unstoppable Yankees over the World Series. However, our seats could not be worse. We sat on the roof level (it felt like it) to the right field. Every time someone wanted to go to the bathroom, buy beers or simply go down stairs our visibility was blocked. We missed countless important plays. What is more, we were surrounded by the worse type of people. Yankees fans, Marlins ?so-called Fans? and punk drunks that have no idea who Babe Ruth is or how a bat looks like? We had to move several times from our seats due to drunken stupid fights. It was not even Marlins fans vs. Yankees fans; it was all against all. We felt like we were transported to the medieval times. To make matters worse, it rains and we get soaked? The ?so-called? Marlins fans started to leave and the Yankees started the usual teasing? More fights. Finally the police showed up and took some of the a**holes away, but it was too late, the game was almost over. To top it off, the Marlins lost 6-1. Why???? Whatever; I guess this is what the fans of other teams like the Cubs or Red Sox go through all the time and they do not care how many times their team loses? They keep coming back to see them play and endure worse nightmares than mine. Nevertheless, I know better now; next time is the club level or watch it on TV. I would never go back to the Hooligan level even if it?s free?

On a different note; why are we chanting ?Yankees Suck!?? We need to get a new slogan, this one is not only played out, but I think it also brings bad luck. It seems to me that every team that chants this words gets a curse on their back and loses to the Yankees in the most miserable way? Please, think of something else.

Word of advice, do not take the Yankees fans teasing seriously? They are professional fans and troublemakers. They thrive in our misery and the more upset we get the more cocky they get? Ignore them or find a better way to get back at them than to throw punches?. It does not work, trust me. Ask a Red Sox fan?.

and many of us couldnt get tix to last nights game

I understand that there was a rain delay and it seemed to be on and off most of the night, but about 5 minutes after the second bit of rain started the stadium seemed 1/2 empty.

Where did everyone go?

I would kill to go to a World Series game even if I am getting soaked.

I guess thats what happens when you have a bunch of high saleried-homers going to the games.

Thats one of my problems with the WS.

I did not mind the rain so much... I stayed the whole game, bad seats and everything else... My point is we need to get domed stadium for the fish and build more fans that are not "band wagons" or whatever you want to call the idiots that are rooting for them now because is hip...

I would have been there, but all of those bandwagon fans who bought tickets went just so they can leave when a little rain started coming down!

SOB's!! :angry

So.... What do you guys think are the prospects of getting a Stadium in the future????? Kind of farfetched??? :confused

Marlins getting a stadium is not far-fetched. Robbie couldn't even get the politicos to talk without having to refer it to the voters to save their skins. The Marlins are ahead of the Dolphins already on that front.

However, those same politicians are the ones that come back and say that the "people" should not pay for the stadium to make somebody else rich.... I really hope this franchise gets smart and builds on this team's momentum... South Florida needs the Marlins.

I hope they build the stadium near South Beach because alot of the fans will then come out even more! Can you imagine going to the games and then stopping by the fabulous clubs and restaurants afterward? And all those models everywhere?

Any thoughts on where else they should put the new stadium?

GO MARLINS!

Where bandwagoners can't find it...

A stadium in South Beach? What is a matter with you?

I hope you consider Downtown South Beach, because you are such an idiot.

Clubs and models and baseball!?!?!?

Yeah, Mom and Dad bring their 3 kids to a game and go to the club after the game to enjoy theirselves.

You are so smart!

I couldn't agree any more!

I do not know if South Beach is good... All I know is that it needs to have a Metro station close... Transportation here is a big issue.

If they can find some good space in Downtown, that would be perfect. You got the Metro right there, plus the Metro-Mover.

That would be just sweet. These team, this city needs that stadium there. Not only to draw the Marlins fans but to add a turistic attraction... Penelas, Think money.

Don't they want to build it on BiCentennial Park? I personally do not agree with them building over it since it is a historical landmark, but I guess we'll see.
