Barnes was drafted because of his glove .....interesting that his bat has excelled that he can give starts at catcher and 2B makes him a big asset The Marlins look good in the near future with their OF Prospects and Pitching they can turn things around at the MLB level they have the talent in their Minor system to put together a competitive team

I was quick and Conley would be on any list for sure.... I would say Yelich and Fernandez should their ascent continue they will be with the big club in a short while so to speak.... Barnes and Keys both had great years....I think Barnes was more complete than was Keys but both did well.... I have only read about JT and it is mixed but most see a lot of promise ... I am from the area of Barnes and Skip and so I have followed them a from a local interest prospective as I saw them play as kids....

Anyone have any thoughts on the 2012 Minor League season and who stood out and who stepped down while some seemed just to tread water. quick thoughts: Fernandez is legit and will be an anchor in the next 2-3 years Key's nice year but not sold on just yet. Christan is looks to be real and could be a late call up next year if he does not hit the wall in AA Barnes big year looks strong IQ biggest asset now lets see if he can do it again at the next step up JT, Perio,Skip need to be better next year

Barnes hit like 459 in the play off with a couple of HR's ....off to mini camp now according to http://www.greensbor...-relationships/ putting the work in to get better after leading all of the Marlin Minor leagues with 159 hits... Fernandez is legit and I think is going to anchor that rotation in the next 2 years

Barnes is 22 and in first full season in Pro Ball .... If you look his career so far he has gotten better at every level...All PAC TEN as a catcher in his first year playing the postion full time He may hit a wall but so far it has not happened...I think next year is where is will show if he moves on What about Keys ....I know less about his background but he seems to be in a similar situation

Keys and Barnes had great seasons. Will be fun to see if they can continue at the next level

How do most of you see Key's progressing? Barnes?

yeah...Greensboro would be tough if they had Fernandez and Conley still on the team...would likely win it all again
