  1. Well so far the PTBNL the Marlins received have turned out to be question marks, mid to moderate prospects so I'm sure we'll get more of the same from the A's.
  2. What a bunch of spaz's you are for even thinking about throwing stuff at Ivan. This is why this franchise will be regarded as classless, for crap like that. I'm sorry if you don't think he deserved a raise or that he wasn't worth the money that was spent on him, but he did his JOB. Forgive me if I'm wrong but baseball is a job. Does someone show up at your new higher paying job throwing money at you because you left your last one? I don't think so!! They were probably glad to see your sorry butt go. Grow up people, the Marlins were lucky to get to come to an unproven team in the first place. :angry
  3. Some of you folks are pathetic. Did you boo Alfonseca when he came back? How about Cliffie? I don't recall any boos for Brown or Leiter. Or how about Mantei? He gets treated like royalty here and he didn't do much but sit on the DL. Grow up!!
  4. Have we ever been the favorites? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I don't think we will be again. Even back in 97 the best prediction was for the Marlins to win the Wild Card. This year 2003, most people picked us 4th at best. I think we'll be the number 3 team as far as predictions. That doesn't mean we won't end up number one.
  5. This is just MLB trying to build a global base. There was also talk of a Yankees and Tokyo Giants playing an exhibition game too. Let the Yanks play in Japan and get jet lag. I would rather us play in Korea for Hee seop.
  6. He's just one of several good arms down on the farm. Keep your eyes peeled for Scott Olsen, Jeff Allison, Jon-Michael Nickerson, Paul Mildren and Logan Kensing. The pitchers just keep coming. We also have Hutchinson, Ungs and Holdzkom. The 06, 07 & 08 teams will have pitching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. To make a fair assessment of the 04 Fish, one would need to see the outcome of Pudge. As they line-up now, I believe they would have a shot at the Wild Card. The Braves seemed to have given up for now as they will lose Sheff, Javy and probably Maddux. The Phils made their team and pen a lot better with Wagner, but could still lose Millwood. Is what we have enough to win the East? I wouldn't count them out of it right now I will feel better after Sunday when the Pudge situation will be settled. But I like that we'll have Beckett, Penny, Pavano and Willis in the rotation and sometime next year AJ. A line-up of Pierre, Castillo, Lowell, Cabrera and Conine isn't shabby either. Hey at this point I'd settle for an above .500 season. :unsure :
  8. Here's the real line-up: J. Pierre-8 F. Vina-4 M. Cabrera-9 M. Lowell-5 J. Conine-7 H. Choi-3 B. Santiago-2 A. Gonzalez-6 That's if we don't get Luis back!
  9. If everything that is published is true it looks like we'll have Luis and Lowell back next year, but what about catching? Does anyone honestly think that Redmond and Castro can handle the job? That is if Castro is playing next year in Florida instead of the Pennsylvania Penial League. If the Marlins aren't going to make a strong run at Pudge and they're in the mood to bring back guys, how about Benny Santiago? The price will and may give Josh Willingham time to master the tools of ignorance. Tell me your thoughts.
