What kind of lineup is this?!
Ok here's the point for everyone especially pitchingwinsgames. McLouth is WAY better hitter than Hermida. McLouth is WAY better fielder than Hermida. You throw in that he's very good in the clubhouse and a fan favorite according to EVERY single thing I've read, with the ability to steal bases..... ITS APPARTENT McLouth is better then Hermida in everything. If McLouth nets 3 prospects, Hermida will net 1.

What kind of lineup is this?!
Mc Louth had a fielding % of .997 last season with 1 error, only behind the great Tori Hunter in all of baseball among CFers but somehow- someway- pitchingwinsgames swears he isn't good!
-
What kind of lineup is this?!
There is no helping pitchingwinsgames. He has played a total of 4 years with a combined total of only 8 errors..... Hell, Joe DiMaggio used to have 20-30 errors some seasons and he was consider a good fielder. Not comparing the two....I'm just showing you how much of a fool you look like. McLouth is a gold glove CFer and NEVER makes errors. He is above average anyway you want to slice it. Admit you are wrong!

What kind of lineup is this?!
LOL at pitchingwinsgames.... A) he says Hermida is better. Then he sees stats and facts and now he backpeddles. B) He says Nate McLouth didn't deserve a gold glove in 2008 for being the 2nd best CF in MLB and 1st best CFer in the NL for a .997 fielding % and only 1 error. This guy cracks me up!

What kind of lineup is this?!
What exactly makes McLouth a "failboat" centerfielder? LMAO. Is it his 0 errors this season or was it because he was the 2nd best CFer in MLB last year behind Tori Hunter with a .997 fielding %? Which one is it pitchingwinsgames? hahahaha
-
What kind of lineup is this?!
You gotta love pitchingwinsgames..... he calls McLouth a failboat CFer but he's an all star, gold glover, and he's on pace for a career year! Oh ya, John Schurholtz wanted him. He must suck. Don't worry man- John Schurholtz wanted Hermida also. So did Epstein........ THIS SPRING- when everyone thought Hermida would break out. But, sigh, again he hasn't. We missed our window to trade him for anything.

What kind of lineup is this?!
HERMIDA SUCKS!!!! He will be a career 15 homer guy. Not a guy who can hit 30 homers and steal 30 bases like McLouth!!!! You guys are hilarious! Bring up ballparks all you want.
-
What kind of lineup is this?!
This one is for spike and only spike because he just spews out info with NO backing. McLouth is on pace for 31 and 117. Even if he doesn't get there- he has still improved for the 5th straight season. Hermida hits .218 on the road. So your argument has NO backing.

What kind of lineup is this?!
Post of the year by pitching wins games??????????????? McLouth is better in every STATISTICAL category yet somehow he has a rebuttal to every single stat. You my friend, should be a lawyer. When will Marlin fans realize Hermida is not good? Only time will tell....

What kind of lineup is this?!
Please explain how one is average in the field? He makes the routine plays- exactly what you want! I guess a gold glove, I know is not the best award- but makes you BETTER than average. As you all marvel after seeing McLouth IMPROVE every season and Hermida stagnate at 17-18 homers for life....you guys start backpeddling again saying well, uh, well, um how do you know he's a good clubhouse leader? BECAUSE I FOLLOW BASEBALL. It's apparent in everything I've read. Don't make me prove you wrong once again by saying well, um, well, um....this is a dumb argument. Why is it dumb? Because you are wrong on factual evidence?

What kind of lineup is this?!
This is what McLouth has done for you Marlin homers.... 2005- 5 homers, 12 RBI - 2 steals 2006- 7 homers, 16 RBI - 10 steals 2007- 13 homers, 38 RBI - 22 steals 2008- 26 homers, 94 RBI - 23 steals - GOLD GLOVE 2009- 31 homers, 117 RBI - 24 steals He has improved every season- something Hermida will never do. Oh yeah, one more thing so I can make you guys especially pitchingwinschamp look horrible.... McLouth has played 420 games with only 8 errors and 13 assists. Hermida has played 412 ganes with a whooping 23 errors and 12 assists. McLouth is WAY WAY WAY WAY better and he's a clubhouse leader. Hermida will net us a Jake Smolinski and I'll be back!

What kind of lineup is this?!
McLouth is projected for 31 homers and 117 RBI. He has 7 steals and 0 caught stealing. He was an all star last season. He only has 29 K's. His OPS is .819 and that's low because he's only hitting .256 which he will improve on based on his contact rate. He slugs .470. Hermida is projected for 15 homers and 69 RBI. He has 4 steals and 1 caught stealing. He will never be an all star. He has 50 K's (200+ projected for season). His OPS is .744 and it's right on target based on him hitting exactly what his career AVG is- .267. He slugs .382- which is great for a #5 hitter haha. Hermida makes 2.3 million for a .260 and 15 homer guy. He won't be on our team much longer. McLouth is 27. Hermida is 25. BTW, who's the Marlin homer saying Hermida is better in the outfield? MCLOUTH WON A GOLD GLOVE LAST YEAR! LMAO McLouth for his career has 64 steals and 5 caught stealing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could go on and on but I'm embarrassing you so I'll stop. I guess stats lie but anyone would rather have McLouth as a player by a long shot. When Hermida nets us a single A pitcher- I will recall this thread with laughter!

What kind of lineup is this?!
McLouth is an all star and perhaps a team LEADER. You guys are crazy. All homers on here with no realistic judgement of talent.

What kind of lineup is this?!
Maybe it's because I have many family members who have worked under Reagan, Bush, and Clinton in the government so I know what is about to take place. You people keep laughing and watching both FOX and CBS. They are both the same. It's all corrupt. When you see what will occur soon, you won't laugh anymore. You won't call people "conspiracy nuts".....you will be screwed for not preparing. Have a wonderful night.

What kind of lineup is this?!
Yup the same Obama who is spending more money in the history of the world during the a horrible recession so the government can take over. The same Obama who is overseas as we speak telling the Middle East that we are one of the "largest" Muslim countries when in reality we rank 48th largest. Keep beliving the media you sheep. We are done.

What kind of lineup is this?!
Big deal... Hermida has the range of a 4th outfielder. Get over this guy!
-
What kind of lineup is this?!
pitching wins games cracks me up....Hermida can't sniff McLouth as a player. You sir are in for a rude awakening when we trade him soon for 1 single A pitcher.....haha
-
What kind of lineup is this?!
And Hermida is not better defensively than anyone. If I watch him boot one more ball off his glove....he's horrendous in the outfield!
-
What kind of lineup is this?!
You people continue to amaze me. Rab- Ross hit .335 2 years ago and could hit .300 every season if he's focused. Uggla will NEVER hit .300. Nate McLouth got 3 prospects so Hermida will get 2? LOLOLOLOL Why? McLouth is an all star with fire and passion the way he plays. Hermida is a lazy bum who looks like he's not interested in baseball at all.
-
What kind of lineup is this?!
I can't wait until some of your come back to reality when the Marlins trade Hermida for a "B" rate prospect. OBP is only important if you can hit. Hermida can't. He's over-rated. When the Marlins trade Hermida for a single A pitcher all of you will whine!

What kind of lineup is this?!
Hermida's path right now is headed to becoming a backup. The evidence is right in front of you. He K's more than 1/4 of the time. Ross is our 3rd best hitter behind Ramirez and Cantu. HeUglla is easily 1st or 2nd best defensively. That makes him one of our top 2 overall players. Cody Ross is not our 3rd best hitter. Besides being ridiculously streaky, he's both a low batting average and a low OBP guy, both of which are lower than Senor Garbage, Jeremy Hermida (I'll get back to him). Yeah, when he's in CF he's easily the best defensive player in our lineup, but he's been pretty bad in RF, which is where he's been playing most of this year. Also, love how you say that I must be calling Hermida not garbage because of 3 games, yet you are calling Cody Ross our 3rd best hitter. Fantastic. Also, Hermida, despite having the second most Ks on the team, still has the second best OBP on the team, behind some dude named Hanley. Also second on the team in walks. He's hardly on the road to "being a backup". It's at least debatable that Ross is our third best hitter. It's not as cut and dry as you are making it out to sound. Who is the third best if not Ross? Uggla and Baker, maybe Hermida. I really can't see the debate on how Cody is a better hitter than Uggla. (And yes, I know Uggla has been pretty damn bad this year, I'm trying to hit it on a whole.(that's what she said)) Wow, just wow. You really don't have any concept of talent do you? You come here and laugh and now you are backpedling faster than crazy and trying to come up with another Marlin who's a better hitter than Ross! lol Uggla is not a better hitter than Ross. Ross could be a .300 hitter if he wasn't streaky. If the game was on the line, I'd rather have Ross up than Uggla or Baker. Look, Uggla is a hacker. Not a hitter. He is declining and we should trade him ASAP. Baker, I like the guy, will wear down as the season goes. Like scouts say, he will end up a career .250 guy with a few walks. Hardly better than Ross.

Wanna make a ban for life bet that in 3 years Hermida will be ona major league bench somewhere? Beginning of 2012....he isn't good at all. And Hermida is NOT getting better. He's getting worse.

What kind of lineup is this?!
Heh, you're funny. I still don't know if even you know what you're talking about about how I'm constantly wrong. My response to you wasn't about the lineup, which I constantly argue against, it was "Hermida is garbage" and "Cody Ross is our second best player." Hermida's path right now is headed to becoming a backup. The evidence is right in front of you. He K's more than 1/4 of the time. Ross is our 3rd best hitter behind Ramirez and Cantu.
