March 18, 200422 yr Got my tix from the Marlins today, nice graphics on them, only interesting note is that Penny is featured on his own ticket, along with Pierre, Beckett, Willis, Cabrera, Conine, Castillo, Lowell, and the W.S. trophy. All those other guys are untouchable...but Penny? McKeon should have been given his own ticket, he made the cover of the ticket book. can't wait 'till opening day... :thumbup
March 19, 200422 yr That?s great ? I called yesterday and they said I would not get mine until next week. Where are your seats?
March 19, 200422 yr I think someone is forgetting that Penny had 2 big wins in the WS... one at home and one on the road... I thought that he should have been the WSMVP... not to take anything away from Josh, but 2 wins in the WS is huge! (game 1 and 5 I think... someone correct me if I am wrong!)
March 19, 200422 yr Author i think he was saying that Penny isnt an "untouchable" on this team thats all that's exactly what I'm saying. He should have gotten WS MVP over Beckett, IMO, but I'm simply saying that I see him being the first guy traded if we decide we need a bat. Hell, he was almost traded 3 different times last year (for Colon, for Dunn (?), and in the Giles rumor at the deadline). I just find it odd that they'd put him on a ticket when a guy like McKeon is on the cover of the ticket book.
March 19, 200422 yr it's because they know what he's going to do this year :mischief :mischief2 :thumbup
March 19, 200422 yr Penny is definitely not being traded this year... I like to think of Beckett, Penny and Burnett as Oakland's 3.
March 19, 200422 yr Penny is definitely not being traded this year... I like to think of Beckett, Penny and Burnett as Oakland's 3. how 'bout a big 4 of: Allison, Beckett, Burnett, and Olsen (scott) now that's a rotation
March 19, 200422 yr writing off Willis already? true, Hell be the 5th starter! *drools* sorry Dontrelle!
March 19, 200422 yr What about Carl Pavano? The man was our most consistent pitcher last season and the only one to pitch all season with being on the DL.
March 19, 200422 yr What about Carl Pavano? The man was our most consistent pitcher last season and the only one to pitch all season with being on the DL. we're running out of space!! sad to say, but i think Pavano might be gone this offseason
March 19, 200422 yr Pavano can always go to the bullpen. He doesn't like it as much, but he is an excellent bullpen man.
March 19, 200422 yr why? Olsen and Allison wont be ready i know they won't be ready by 2005, they might not even be ready to be great starters by '06, but they'll be in So. Fla by then as for pavano, i don't know why, i just don't feel good about it
March 19, 200422 yr Oliver will be the first to go of the starters...although he would be a good addition to the BP....Penny and Pavano could both have super years. We'll have to see how each one does. If one of them falters, they could be next.
March 19, 200422 yr Just got my tickets. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW !!!! They are absolutely beautiful.
March 19, 200422 yr marlins 03 what plan u got I bought the 41 game pack (not the flex), front row, 454 (upper deck between home and third base). It's going to be great not having anyone sitting in front of us and no vendors or patrons parked in the aisle for half an inning blocking our view, like it was in the terrace boxes last season. I sat up there for one game last season and I fell in love with watching from above.
March 19, 200422 yr I got my tickets. I got my tickets. I got my tickets. They look incredable and that opening day ticket is amazing.
