yankeefan21
Okay - with the Tigers at 3-0 and the Angels also undefeated, who will be the last undefeated team in MLB? Also, does anyone know what the history is on the teams that are the last to lose? I can't remember the last time the last team to lose even made the playoffs... Phlub
Tigers surpisingly good. But the first 40 games of the year typically show what your team is made of. I still say the Division comes down to Kansas City and Minnesota. Chi Sox are most overrated team in the big's, the Indians are still building, and the Tigers will turn out to be the Tigers, just not the super bad version they were last year. Just year they'll be just "bad".
KJC
K, Joe Mauer may be the real deal but right now he is on the real DL.
Craig
The AL Central is a 3 team race. But it's like a midget boxing match...all 3 teams aren't very good, but all can win the division.
Craig
But the first 40 games of the year typically show what your team is made of. The Marlins proved that last year....after all they were BELOW .500 after 40 games. :lol
KJC
AGREED its the last 40 games (including playoffs) that make a team.
Craig
AGREED its the last 40 games (including playoffs) that make a team. AGREED It is the last 40 games.... which is why the Phillies and White Sox weren't in last year's postseason.
Fish Fillet
its the last 40 games (including playoffs) that make a team Maybe not in the AL Central. By the last 40 games the teams in the division are so putrid that they call up anyone with a pulse to fill the expanded rosters. The key to that Division is getting out ahead early and going .400 against teams outside the division since the other teams in your division probably won't. Also, does anyone know what the history is on the teams that are the last to lose? I can't remember the last time the last team to lose even made the playoffs... The only one I remember was the 84' Tigers. Had one of the best starts ever, I think they went 13-0, then 35-5. Led the division from wire to wire and pranced through the playoffs and WS. FishFanPR
I wouldn't be surprised if the Tigers at least make a run for the AL Central title. That division is pretty equitable, all the teams SUCK!
rferry
Well, they lost to the Twins today.
