Fish2Repeat
I assume everyone else had the same problem as me at the beginning of the game, slipping in and out of coverage. PAX blows, we need a real affiliate, or UPN at the least.
Marlins
Yeah-it was bad. But it got better.
Mephisto
we need to move to the sun shine network.
CapeFish
Burnettheat34, If we move to Sunshine welcome back the 45 games a season vs. 150 now. PAX probably had some difficulty with the signal at the stadium...same result would have happened no matter the station.
djm305
Be happy you even have that! I couldn't watch today's game because MLB-EI doesn't carry any PAX games, and this game happen to be on UPN-Philly also which MLB-EI doesn't carry so I was screwed... TarHeel324
my only complaint about PAX is that they dont carry marlins on deck or any type of postgame show. also there was that problem in the 1st inning, but that was fixed all in all, im happy with PAX, but it would be nice if the marlins had 150 games on cable

It costs money to do the pregame show. WAMI used to produce one (but they also produced their own telecasts) and cancelled it. Craig couldn't do it anyway because of conflicts with the Panthers. Having no games on PAX is impossible as long as the Marlins share a channel with the Devil Rays. There has been some speculation that in a couple of years, if the ballpark is built, the Marlins could do what the Royals have done. They would go to cable and satellite companies, create a new channel, probably sign the Panthers or UM to this channel, and create Marlins TV. The Marlins probably will never return to Sunshine because they will not air more than 50 games.

Guest CHRISTYTOD
We lost signal for 1.5 batters in Coral Springs on PAX Cable. Then they didn't break away during commercial and we got to watch the action on the field during the break - that was very cool to see. All in all, I think PAX is doing a very unprofessional job so far. I am just glad the majority of our games are on FSN.

It was pretty funny how for the 1st couple innings we didnt have to see any commercials, my uncle said we could just pretend we were at the game. Interesting, because I didn't have any of the problems here in Palm Beach....but was watching Pax 69.
DaGreatOne
Here in North Miami I also lost the signal in the 1st inning and missed the 1.5 batters too.

CapeFish
NBC6 (handles PAX35 signal) must have had some problem with the ad insert. WPTV 5 handles PAX67's signal in Palm Beach.

CapeFish
Guys, the same crew does both FSN and PAX games. PAX may have had trouble with it's ad insert in Miramar. NBC6 has gone off the air before when it crashes. NBC6, Telemundo 51, and PAX 35 all use this digital ad insert computer and it does crash sometimes. Overall, PAX presents a good product with it's signals and ability to sell out ads for the Marlins.
CapeFish
BTW, today was the first day the full network aired a game. That could be why it crashed.
CapeFish
I remember when UPN33 and WAMI did telecasts. You guys would turn off the TV with the blunders they made. Once UPN33 forgot to turn on the delay and some words get out. WAMI once aired a naked fan running on the field, again without delay, and got fined. One time UPN33's transmitter was struck by lightning (the tower is right next to PPS) and the cameras at the ballpark caught the sparks (shown on the news later) and the game went off the air and was delayed.
