If you look at his previous years, his performance last year, the stats tell you that Conine is a notoriously slow starter. Bill Robinson, who I think knows more about hitting than all of us put together, tells you that Conine is a very slow starter. He always pops out of it, we have seen this with our very own eyes over the years. What's homer about that?

Well maybe thats it. But honestly anything we say here doesnt matter...we will find out on the field. But from watching 9ner play for years...his bat speed took a nose dive.
