April 27, 200421 yr Author Let's see if this sounds familar - With a one run lead Tejera walks the first batter, gives up a single, walks another and with the bases loaded and two outs on an infield ball hit to the right side the infielder makes a great play but Tejera covering first can't find the bag (with his foot) and so TWO runs score. Tejera then strikes out the next batter to end the inning. Grrrrrr Royals 2, 'Topes 1
April 27, 200421 yr Author For you Valdez fans out there, he's 0-2 today after two multi-hit games yesterday.

April 27, 200421 yr Author Padgett up, guys swinging a hot bat, strikes out. Chases a couple of balls out of the strike zone. Aguila up, long single to the wall in left center, momentarily caught but outfielder drops it when he runs into the wall, scores one, game tied 2-2. Controversy, one of the umps called it a catch and the guy on second went back to tag up. Woodson ('Topes mgr) argues with umps. Umps rule it was a single. Bases loaded. One out.

April 27, 200421 yr Author Isotopes are having trouble closing out the game. Score now 9-6 after two passed balls by Treanor in two innings. Announcers say they wonder if Treanor is injured under the weATHER because in two years they've never seen have two passed balls in two days. Borland in to try and get the save.
