May 2, 200422 yr I would have start Nunez or Choi instead of Cordero. Kirk Rueter is pitching. He throws like 85. If Choi can't hit him, then he can't hit any lefties. Choi should have been in there.

Yes, Jeff had back spasms, yes Choi hits righties better than lefties, but all that said, with our needs in the bullpen right now, Cordero is the logical guy to move. If he has a good game today I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved tonight.

May 2, 200422 yr I hope he is being shopped but I doubt he has much value unlike Nunez. Maybe he will hit 2 HR today so we can trade him.

Nunez can play any of the outfield positions and can play in place of Conine if he moves to first for lefties. Cordero could start with a dozen teams in MLB. For a veteran he has a good enough track record to bring value in return. While some might say trade Nunez, he simply does'nt have the track record of Cordero and hence will bring less in a trade. Easley is the third option but his record the last few years suggests he has virtually no trade value at this time.
May 2, 200422 yr Choi is going to need to learn to hit lefties some time. Better now than in august-october. I'm sick of seeing cordero sucking. :banghead

I think that at this point, Nunez is the only guy we can play, Cordero will have more value at the deadline, that's when veterans are over-valued.
