May 5, 200422 yr Author I'm not sure if the point of the article was very clear or not but here's the point: excess is bad.? Excess shoes are bad, excess stereosystems and ect. (the stuff I listed guys liking) are bad, excess is just not good.? That's the point. How are excess shoes bad? They're.............shoes. I am actually not too bad. I don't have like 50 pairs of shoes. LOL You have 6 shoes you regularly use, but you have 4 on the DL, 15 back up shoes, and probably a minor league roster full of them in your closet...to trade for more shoes. My honest opinion is that any excess is bad. I don't like the idea that Americans live paycheck to paycheck trying to pay of interest payments.

Some people have a lot of shoes and a lot of other stuff and don't live paycheck to paycheck though. Or are you trying to say that no one should have excess even if they have the money.
May 5, 200422 yr LOL Yea, I do have a lot I don't use anymore. The ones I don't wear anymore, I give to charity.

I think excess and love for materialism is definitely not the way to go, but that's my personal belief.
May 5, 200422 yr I didn't read any of the long comments. But I'm a guy and I have atleast 20 pairs of basketball shoes. Most of them are Jordans. I'm just addicted to them. The others are Air Force 1s. Some of them are for balling, the others are for rocking. I know many guys that are like me. Jordans are too just fire and addictive.

Odd, I mean you being so anti-socialist I figured you would think people should spend money on what they want if they have it. Well, you can't hold Americans to your standard of spartan living that's for sure.
May 5, 200422 yr I own 4 pairs. My Jordans (which i ordered out of a catalog of discontinued items from Footlocker for 20 bucks) My dress shoes (75 cause i wear a size 16), my sandals (Wal Mart, 5.99) and my No slip work shoes. (free with said job)
May 5, 200422 yr Author 20 pairs of air jordans...THAT'S REALLY EXCESSIVE! I highly believe in capitalism, but that doesn't mean I like hearing people b***h about money and then blow all of it on useless crap. I admit it though, if I were really rich, I can't see myself living like a rockefeller...I wouldn't feel right.
May 5, 200422 yr Some people collect shoes. Who cares. Their money. I collect lint. I have an impressive collection, and the best part is, Im gonna sell it on Ebay one day :whistle
May 5, 200422 yr People do different things with their money. Some use their money on going to sporting events, video games, comics, eletronic, etc. As for me, I spend my money on Jordans. I admit I am addicted and I have to stop someday, hopefully soon. Now this is really excessive It's my friend's colletion.
