May 9, 200422 yr I bring you a high school baseball line score from the front page of today's Columbus Dispatch: Linden 0-0-0-0-0 - 0 Bexley 23-10-6-8-X - 47 :o :lol :lol :lol
May 9, 200422 yr Author Linden Coach: "The score wasn't a lie; it was a score. There were four easy fly balls in the first inning. If we catch two of those, they don't score 23 runs, they might have had a seven-run first and we're talking about a completely different game." :lol
May 9, 200422 yr 23 runs.... in the first? Might as well have forfeit after that for no further embarrassment... Imagine going to school the next day as a Linden ballplayer..whew

May 10, 200422 yr Yeah, these happen alot in High School baseball because the ten run rule doesn't kick in until the 5th inning. You have to 5 every game.
May 10, 200422 yr That's embarassing. Don't they stop the game at certain time when a team is up by alot of runs?
May 10, 200422 yr They must have because high school games last longer than 5 innings. So the question must be asked: why wait until the fifth inning to call it? Why not the 23-run first? Or a 30-run lead in the second?

Or a 30-run lead in the second? Like I said earlier, in High School the ten run rule cannot be allowed to kick in until the team that is losing has had 5 chances to hit.
