I was called a racist, because many neighborhoods in Dade County, used to be nice, but now are not!

 

Not my fault they are no longer nice? I didn't want that to happen?

He's got a avocado green, former police interceptor, Chevy Caprice, with spinning rims and and gold chain link license plate frame...(With LOUD vibrations coming from it) - (one of many operating/non-operating vehicles in front yard)

Fish Fillet, nice post. I am new to this site but I have noticed that people throw around the term "bandwagoner" an awful lot. I still don't understand what the big deal is. To my way of thinking, any increase in interest in the Marlins is a good thing. So what if the new fans don't know much about anything? Those who get ticked off by them should just laugh and get a kick out of it. Don't take it so seriously! Like CapeFish said, you cannot expect to have a huge loyal fan base for a relatively young team in an area with a transient population. Let's ENJOY the fact that more peeps are liking our Marlins!

But you don't understand? That's what happens here! I was called a racist the other day! Because all three neighborhoods that my parents and I grew up in Dade County, turned to crap. We were forced to move out of all of them. Is it our fault that they turned to crap? Nope! We didn't want to move! But now I'm a racist?! :blink:

 

Is Mike Lowell a racist because he doesn't live by Winwood park? Is Juan Pierre a racist because he doesn't live on 6th Ave. (Where my grandmother used to live, in North Miami, But Had TO MOVE)

First off, you were as guilty of name-calling as other people were in that thread, you may have done it "indirectly" but you did it. Secondly, you said that the neighborhood in Hialeah turned to crap because everyone spoke Spanish, sounds to me like that's not a good reason for turning to crap. I agree with whoever it was that said that your post sounded racist because it did. Nope, the neighborhood did go down, where my grandparents lived. I'll give you the address, and the pictures of what the neighborhood USED to look like MANY years ago...no problem.

 

My grandparents all the people that they knew that lived there all left! That is a fact Max! To not accept that FACT is to be in DENIAL!

 

If you want to be dillusional than that is your right, I guess. Does the fact that everyone speaks Spanish there, contribute to the fact that the neighborhood went down? I don't know? All I'm concerned with is the FACT that these neighborhoods went down!
