When AJ comes back

Featured Replies

It looks like AJ will make one more start in Jupiter on Wed. If all goes well and he's back to stay who goes where? A spot on the 40 man roster will have to be assigned and a spot in the regular 25 will need to be made too. The 40 spot could be done by placing Chad Fox on 60 day DL, essentially trading one spot for another. That would take into consideration Fox will be gone for a few more weeks.

Who gets sent down to AAA for the 25 man spot?

Phelps goes to pen.

Then they will probably release Oliver

When Fox Comes back Bump or Wayne need to go down. Wayne has been doing awesome while Bump hasnt gotten much work.

Aj to the Rotation

I think they should just release Oliver. Does he really have a place on this team? I don't think so, and it looks like Jack doesn't want to use him out of the pen either since he hasn't made an appearance even though he's been available all week.

Where does it say AJ is making another start?

Good point about Oliver. Don't even trust him in the pen...harsh. He's outta here like that Mikey walk-off shot!

Send a reliever down? This could allow us to send Bump down, but leaves the bullpen with three lefties. Do we all forget the last time that happened? Perisho pitching in extra innings to righthanders? Ugh. We'd also be without a groundball specialist to help induce double plays. Maybe one of the lefties (Phelps, Perisho, Oliver, Willis) can be sent to the minors for a short time or to work on their mechanics.

B. Send a position player down. Sutton, as a lefty firstbaseman, will see little time with the club anyway. Probaby the same amount Lenny Harris saw over the first 30 games. We'll have 12 pitchers until we can find a taker for Oliver. The bullpen hasn't been used much lately and we have Monday off each of the next 3 weeks.
