May 30, 200422 yr I realize certain individuals on this board are calling for JW's promotion. It appears his bat is ready for the show. My questions are in regards to the rest of his game - How is his arm? How does he handle himself defensively? Is he ready to call a game on a major league level? Based on his experience in spring training would Treanor be a better option were Red or Castro to go down?
May 30, 200422 yr I am for bringing Treanor up - he has solid numbers at the AAA level and is more polished defensively. I think we need to give Willingham more time to season his defense. But what do you do with Castro/Red?

May 30, 200422 yr Well, right now anyone can bat better than Castro, i mean Slumps cant last all year damnit....
May 30, 200422 yr supposedly is a very good game caller Good to hear. I have not been impressed AT ALL by the way Castro or Redmond call games behind the plate. If this kid can just come up and hit .250 or .260 and call a good game behind the plate, I say get him up to the big club ASAP.
