Today is the day of one of the marquee races in all of America.

 

For much of our motor sports history, this race was THE race. Many big names have raced and won here. While this race is no longer as big as it once was, due in large to the fued in open wheel racing about 10 years ago, its still a huge race.

 

I'm rooting on Robby Gordon, although the chances of him winning today have taken a dramatic hit due to the early rain at Indy.

F1 racing is boring. Come on... 1 lead change (usually on purpose) a race...?

 

NASCAR owns all types of auto racing. Except good ol' dirt track races. Ya'll should all check out your local dirt track.

They only have themselves to blame after commiting Hari-Kari with the whole IRL/CART lawsuits in the 90's.

 

It's too bad. Open Wheel racing is way, way cooler. The accidents are 20X more violent and the possibility of massive carnage is way higher.

 

And yes, the only reason why I watch a bunch of guys go fast and turn left for 4 hours is to see really bad crashes. Hey, at least I admit it.
