War in Iraq: Not a Humanitarian Intervention I find their POV even more relevant because they had no opinion on the war at first...they just take umbrage with it being labeled a "humanitarian effort." If anyone gets the chance to read it I would love to discuss it.
June 1, 200422 yr I understand thier claims and believe their major talking points valid. I think most level-headed people beleive that justification for the war is now only on a humantiarian footing b/c of lack of a better reason. HOWEVER.... I think the credibility of the piece is diminished somewhat by some bias. Memo to HRW: Repeatedly stating that you take no position on the premises of the war after spending paragraph(s) critically espousing why the war shouldn't have been fought or how the war went wrong does not make you independent, nor unbiased. Decent find though. Good read.
