Jack's Lineup

Featured Replies

Kudos to Jack for inserting the righty bats last night - Nunez and Easley both came through. Any thoughts on how he will play it tonight with Westbrook on the mound? I'd guess OMGNunez will be the odd man out - unless Conine sits. No way OMGEasley comes out and I expect to see Choi back at first.

Great win last night - c'mon AJ - keep it going!!!

Well....Jack already said Lowell is the DH today.. with mordei playing third

so since choi is playing....the only way Easily or Nunez play are if one of them play for Niner...I dunno if Jack will want to put easily in left...

we may see louie get the day off so that easily can play 2B but louie is riding a 9-game hitting streak and jack may not want to take him out

my guess...easily will be playing left tonight or he wont be starting

I hope he doesn't take Easley's hot bat out of the lineup...gotta find a way to keep him in there. I'd rather see him at third instead of Mordi. Might make some sense to give Louie a day off as well.

Once or twice I would like to see Nu?ez in right and Cabs DHing, just so we don't have to breath heavily when the ball is hit that way.

Easley hasn't played that much 3B since his first couple of years, playing only 28 games at 3B over the last 9 and a half years. Maybe McKeon doesn't think he can do it defensively. Maybe he doesn't have the arm, though I wouldn't think that's the case if he can play SS.

Defense is the only reason I can think of to start Mordy at 3B over Easley. That, or to give Mordy some work. But with Easley hitting well right now, I think we need to try to get him ABs.

I bet we do see Nunez in RF sometime this week with Cabrera as DH.

You are all acting like Mordy is some kind of garbage player. He's not, and I bet most of the other teams in the league would love to have him on their bench.

I'd rather Jack move Cabs to third for this game and start Easley in right. We need his hot bat in the lineup as much as possible.

Do you know how difficult it is to learn a new position? And you want to add upon that by playing him elsewhere, which sees the ball completely differently? Not wise.

I don't think that is the case at all. I think the consensus is that Easley's bat is so hot right now - we need to keep him in the lineup.

He could come in as a pinch hitter or a double switch later in the game...the best idea would be to put mordi at third since he is the best option defensively

Double switches aren't advisable in the AL

I don't know about that. Anyone getting flash backs from San Fran? I really like Easley, but I think he's better suited for playing in the infield. I say maybe just keep him as DH or give Lui a day off and put him at second. I don't think he should be at shortstop either cause Alex has been hot as of late.

This would be my Lineup if i was Jack today.

Pierre - CF

Castillo - 2B

Lowell - DH

Cabrera - 3B

Conine - LF

Easley - RF

Choi - 1B

Gonzalez - SS

Redmond - C / Mordi - C

Keep the pressure off Easely, drop him in the lineup. Continue with Choi in that 5th spot, and Gonzalez has to continue batting 7th with the success he's having.

So Conine and Nunez are on the bench?

Is Easley playing the Outfield? Has he ever played there?

This lineup is a defensive nightmare.

they're just trying to imitate the braves
