Need to get them now, the second half of the month their schedule is looking pretty easy so now would be a good time to start winning in bunches

We need to see Mike and JP get out of their slumps. They are the keys to making our offense go.

 

JP has been slumping for over a month....watching his BA drop from .362 on May 9 to .300 right now. He is hitting .167 for the month of June.

 

Mike was hitting .349 at the beginning of June and is now at .310. He hasn't had a hit in 4 games. Mike is hitting .140 in June.

 

They are both excellent hitters, and will break out if it......hopefully soon.

 

We have yet to get all the parts of this team working at the same time. Our starting pitching has struggled....i.e. Oliver, Beckett, Phelps, Willis. Besides Benitez, our bull pen has been inconsistent. We've had terrible slumps in our line-up...i.e. Castro, Gonzalez, Conine, Castillo and now Pierre and Lowell.

 

We are the 21st ranked team in runs scored, and are the 11th ranked team in ERA...both drops from a month ago. Everything considered, it is surprising we still have a 1 1/2 game lead in our division. Jack is doing all he can to squeeze out wins right now.

 

This team could really make a run if they could just put it all together. Hopefully they're saving it for the second half of the season.

I hope something good happens...The offense is "consistently inconsistent", the bullpen except for Benitez has not been stellar, and this team loses too many games it should have won...The Marlins should be 4 or 5 games ahead of the Phillies right now...They are struggling to put away below .500 teams, and although they are in 1st place, they do not play like a first place defending champs team...Im not expecting them to win every game, but I think they are capable of playing better overall than they have been...Some fire and intensity are needed for this team, there's no one to spark them like Willis and Cabs did last year...

Actually, AJ is looking like a jinx. We've been doing much better without him on our roster, if you haven't noticed.
