What did Bowa say? Here's McKeon's response:

MCKEON RESPONDS

Philadelphia manager Admin Bowa has complained the Marlins' interleague schedule is easier than the Phillies' schedule.

But the Marlins' schedule appears more difficult than at first glance because their final six interleague games will be against Tampa Bay, the hottest team in baseball.

''I don't worry what Bowa or anybody says,'' McKeon said. ``Admin didn't say anything about playing Kansas City and they had the worst record in baseball. I don't see any validity to [his comments]. Tampa has got some good young players.''

The Marlins are playing Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Texas and Tampa in interleague play.

The Phillies are playing the White Sox, Minnesota, Detroit, Kansas City, Boston and Baltimore.

Johnson walks.

Rivera flies out to deep right....Top 5...2-0 Expos.

Cape has to show me how to put all that ESPN stuff into a game thread...I hope y'all don't mind.

Milton K's...Rollins up

Armas K's Rollins...2 outs.

He K's Bell.....Bottom 5

The Marlins are playing Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Texas and Tampa in interleague play.

The Phillies are playing the White Sox, Minnesota, Detroit, Kansas City, Boston and Baltimore.

both teams play Detroit and the White Sox, so those cancel out.

Aside from that here's the comparison:

Marlins: Cleveland, Tampa, Texas

Phillies: Boston, KC, and the Orioles.

Texas is in first place, Tampa and Cleveland are both .500 teams.

KC and the Orioles are both in last place.

Even BEFORE Tampa went on this streak our schedule wasn't any easier than theirs.

Bowa's such a whiner.
