June 24, 200422 yr Got a free ticket last minute to go to Camden Yards tonight...I'll be in some World Series gear...Wanna get back at the Yankees for the way they treated Orioles fans last year...I was at the game last summer when Jack Cust fell down in front of home plate in the 12th inning representing the tying run...As a result of his falling down after beating a rundown, the Yankees barely beat a sub.500 team in 12 innings...Bravo!!! (sarcasm)....The Yankees fans at that game were terrible...Every time a Yankee got a hit the Yankee fans would start making comments about how much the Orioles sucked and then when the Yankees scored they would stand up (and take forever to sit back down...I kept yelling at the Yankee fans in front to sit down constantly) and then while standing they would leer in the faces of any Orioles fans around them...When the game was over, the Yankees fans stood over the Orioles fans as they were leaving and were jeering and booing them and really being sore winners...They were even giving Orioles fans a hard time on the monorail out of Camden yards...My friend with me at the game is an O's fan and he was getting heckled pretty bad... So tonight, I'm gonna wear a few choice post-season articles of clothing in defense of the Orioles fans (they are very nice fans concerning visiting team fans by the way....take that, Philadelphia!!)...I'm not gonna say a word to the Yankees fans, just gonna let my clothing speak for me
June 24, 200422 yr I'll be in Yankee Stadium tomorrow night sporting some Marlin gear. It will be nice to rub our championship in the faces of both Met and Yankee fans - at the same time!
June 24, 200422 yr Yeah Yankees fans do pack the place even when the Yanks aren't playing the O's, but anyways enjoy. And that Jack Cust thing is probably on my top 5 list of hilarious things to happen in sports
June 25, 200422 yr Hey, I think I saw you tonight. Were you wearing a black Marlins cap and sitting first base side? I was the guy with glasses and teal Marlins cap.
June 25, 200422 yr Author Yeah, that was me...I almost stopped to ask if you were from the boards but I had a tray full of food when I passed you early in the game, then I think I passed you after the game outdside walking to the bars downtown...My friends and I went to this really cool place called Howl At The Moon..there were 2 piano players playing requests and calling people up to sing..the place was packed...These guys could play any song you yelled out at them I did get a few dirty looks from some Yankees fans tonight and I just smiled back and made sure my Marlins champs shirt I was wearing underneath my other shirt was noticeable...AFter the game, one a-hole Yankees fan saw me and started doing the Atlanta war chant because Atlanta won tonight...Pathetic loser on that guy's part... I was really pulling for the Orioles but every time they threw the ball away, a Yankee hit a home run...The throw from center field to get the Oriole tagging from first was sick!
June 25, 200422 yr I didn't watch much of the game. Too busy catching up with Camden Yards. Same high upper deck that makes it impossible to see home plate. Same excellent crab cakes. Same friendly ushers. Didn't realize that the concourse climbs about a foot as you go from Eutaw Street towards the rightfield box seats. Odd setup considering that makes the best views from behind the MLB scoreboard unavailable to anyone shorter than 6'3". The best they can do is to stand and watch from the right of the scoreboard cutting off the view from much of right and the entire first base foul ground.
