I say screw the DH in this series

Featured Replies

1) It ties Jack's hands managing because he can't use the double switch and pinch hit like this club is built to.

2) We have no real DH type hitter.

Dontrelle is our DH

granted the DH isnt a baseball purists' dream, but its nice to have. you dont have to worry about pinch hitting for a picher who's throwing well just because its late in the game and you need some runs. you keep the DH, especially when the other team is going to have one for the entire game. you can make changes through the game if you want, double switches are basically to keep from having to go back to the pen for a while longer. if the rays have the DH, we have the DH. its as simple as that.

as much as I would love to see DTrain bat, I doubt McKeon has the cojones to do it

and Id rather see Easley or Harris hit over anyone else.... even though they have really stunk up the joint recently

if you use a catcher to DH and something happens to Redmond, we're screwed

So, you give up the DH. What are the odds Red will get hurt and have to come out?

1:1

Not completely screwed, because you can just forfeit the DH for the remainder of that game. yeah i know, thats what i meant. i just worded it a little strongly.

1:1 Not too bad in baseball. I say DH Treanor, It can't hurt to try to hot bats.

Jack doesn't have the balls to use a lineup like I'm proposing or some others

Please do it

Guys, part of the game is to build confidence. You DH Willis and you might as well release the guys on your bench but you show them respect with such a move.

Part of the game is also to actually try and win

DH Treanor. He is doing well at the plate, it's his day off, and that let's Choi and Lowell handle thos corners.

Easley, Harris, and Mordi are bench players. Jack is trying to use them as super subs, but they get tired too you know.

Dontrelle isnt the best bat on our bench..... you may all want to believe that but it just isnt true

Treanor is. no, he isnt who is then Ramp?

well Im still gonna stick with Easley, followed by Harris, then Treanor, Nunez and Mordecai

Easley and Harris are going thru a dry spell, but earlier in the year they were both hitting well

and even last night, Harris hit the ball hard a couple of times

Harris only hit well one week

I think we have to change where we hit the ball. We hit it last night, but they were there for the out. Hit it where they ain't!
