The Hammerheads are playing at Space Coast Stadium today and I'll be heading over there for the game tonight. Scott Olsen is pitching, and hopefully I'll get a look at Jeremy Hermida.

 

I'll let you guys know how it went, and what I thought of the team.

Glad the 'Heads are in Jupiter but we really screwed the Melbourne area fans moving Marlins ST out of Space Coast Stadium.

The poor bast..ds up there can't even get any Marlins news. No TV game coverage and a ridiculous regional newspaper.

I want to go to a Hammerheads game some day.

Well it was an exciting game.

 

The Hammerheads lost 5-4 in 10 innings, unfortunately.

 

Scott Olsen went 6 innings and allowing 2 runs, but the thing that really impressed me was his ability to strike out hitters. He struck out 9 in those 6 innings. He had a pretty good fastball today. His slider is absolutely filthy, and he was able to throw the changeup for strikes pretty well. He cruised through the first 5 innings making only 1 mistake on a solo homer. Got in some trouble in the 6th, loading the bases, but managed to only allow a run.

 

Eliezer Alfonzo had a big game going 3-5 with a homer. He's got great power numbers but I really don't see this guy being any more than another Rob Stratton.

 

This is my 2nd Hammerheads game this year and Hermida hasn't played in either game. :banghead

 

Kevin Cave who just got called down from AA was terrible. He gave up a 2 run homer in the 9th that allowed the manatees to tie the game, and then gave up the winning run in the 10th. The guy had trouble throwing strikes and when he did throw strikes he got hammered.
