July 3, 200422 yr We all know the Marlins bats have been slumping lately. The've dropped from around the middle of MLB in runs scored to 24th in the past month. But the most surprising stat is the Marlins are 28th in BA with runners in scoring position. Only Milwaukee and Montreal are worse. We are 22nd in total BA. So it isn't so much they can't hit, they are just terrible at getting the hits when it counts.
July 3, 200422 yr Author The only thing keeping us in the race is that Philadelphia is 25th with RISP, Atlanta 24th and the Mets 27th. So basically, none of the teams in the NL East hit when it counts.
