Surprising Stat

We all know the Marlins bats have been slumping lately. The've dropped from around the middle of MLB in runs scored to 24th in the past month.

But the most surprising stat is the Marlins are 28th in BA with runners in scoring position. Only Milwaukee and Montreal are worse.

We are 22nd in total BA. So it isn't so much they can't hit, they are just terrible at getting the hits when it counts.

And Pudge was over .400 with RISP, but he loved money too much to stay. :banghead

ahhhh, we'll he should have got the money. look at his stats this year, and if he keeps this up for the rest of his detroit stay, than we look more stupid. we should have resigned pudge with a contract like the one he has with detroit. its something like, if he gets injured and is put on the DL for a long time, the contract is terminated or something.

We'd love to be able to afford that kind of contract...but we can't
