This is what we need. . .

A Miracle. . .

Something has taken the heart and soul of this team. Starting pitching has plummeted, I guess they have 0 trust/confidence in the other components of the team. They get on the mound, and they see an uphill battle. One run behind, and doubt start creeping in their minds.

This team is painful to watch at the moment. Except Choi, no other player has any decent plate discipline. There is no excuss there. The funk or slump is very a overrated term and I'm not buying into that. Your whole team offense doesn't go into a collective slump for 45 days. Something must be going on in the clubhouse that we don't know. There is no sense of Urgency.

McKeon being stuborn isn't helping. Choi ABs are being wasted every night. Choi is currently getting on base almost at the .400 level. He should be at least batting 3rd.

Statisticaly, we still in the run. But I don't know if this team will recover from here. Maybe we will be sellers and rebuild for 2005 by the trade deadline.

I will root for this team, no matter what. And I still have hope left. Miracles do happend. Look at the Marlins of 2003. . . .

2 games back now...Bravo Marlins...

Pitchers know they wont get run support, hitters are chasing everything and not working courts to get a better pitch to hit

This team is a shell right now..No heart, no spirit, no spark...

This losing sh*t needs to stop...The Marlins are almost even at .500 which means not counting the first week of the year, this is a below .500 team..Pathetic for defending champs..start playing like you are defending champs...There is no pride right now...no chemistry either...Last year we had Dontrelle and Cabs give the team a lift, this year there is nothing

a hitter may not singlehandidly change this team but the morale of the team would be boosted.... one would think

Phillies won...7-6

Because they can score runs and get clutch hitting from their line-up

Phillies are starting to pull away now...Looks like they want it more...

Last year, the Marlins played with a lot of fun and enthusiasm...it's gone this year...

I agree with Ramp...

Morale right now is in the toilet...Need to get it outta there..

I'd like to be a fly on the wall after the last few weeks and hear what kind of stuff is being said in the clubhouse

Does this team wants to stay together? They will answer one way or the othere by the trade deadline.

It's amazing how empty this team seems right now. The season seems empty. Last year we had countless amazing and spirited moments, and this year's been a big zombie-fest. Maybe I just feel that way cause I haven't been around as much so far this year.

I don't know how this team let itself get so down. They're the defending champs, and they're well capable of winning the division, at the very least. Where's the fun, the joy? Where's the intensity?

I think this team is looking too much at the big picture, trying to win 4 games at once, etc. The best way to get out of a funk is to break everything down into smaller moments. Well, at least that's how it works for me in golf. When I think about my round score, I start f***ing up. But when I take it a shot a time, and play each shot for its own end, then good things happen. I think the team needs to settle down, have fun, and start winning some games one at bat a time. This is, in a way, the basic concept of small ball, which many folks feel we need to rediscover. Cut it down and good things will start to happen. I mean, s***, we're better than the freaking D-rays. Let's just go out there and beat them, damn it.

And it's nice for us to talk about the Phillies and all, but the Marlins need to forget about it. Win 92 games, and they'll win the division. f*** the Phillies, just win 92 games.

And it's nice for us to talk about the Phillies and all, but the Marlins need to forget about it.? Win 92 games, and they'll win the division.? f*** the Phillies, just win 92 games.

that means we'd have to go 51-30 for the second half of the season... thats looking impossible right now.

we're at the midway point in the season and not a single team in all of baseball has 51 wins.

we won't need 92 wins this year. This year the game is in our division. Win the division or die. I think 85 - 87 wins will get it done.

Fine, make it 90 games, if you want, but I'm sticking with the 92. These teams are going to make upgrades. The Phillies certainly will. The Mets can if they want to. I don't know what the Braves are going to, but they might want to defend their 11 consecutive titles.
