2004 Major League Baseball All Star Game

NL rotation:

Clemens was set to pitch two innings and he is slated to be followed by Arizona left-hander Randy Johnson for one inning. Projected to go in the third inning is Cubs right-hander Carlos Zambrano followed by Marlins right-hander Carl Pavano. The pregame strategy was to go one or two innings with either Zambrano or Pavano, depending on how the pitchers' slot came up in the batting order.

Expected to follow Pavano is Mets left-hander Tom Glavine and then Brewers right-hander Ben Sheets. If all goes to plan, those six starters will work eight innings. Should the National League be ahead in the ninth, Dodgers closer Eric Gagne will get the ball to notch the save.

Being held back as an extra-innings long reliever will be Expos right-hander Livan Hernandez.

Typical McKeon. Use your worst player to pinch-hit. :p

Score so far:

Astros -6, NL 1, AL 0

Don't let Gange close for the NL. He sucks in All Star Games.

Randy gets 1 out from PayRod.

it's better to have him just have 1 AB than 2 or 3

Hell yes you take him out. Don't complain about Clemens giving this game up if you would have kept him in. If you think getting one more out before being taken out was going to redeem him in his hometown than wow. Take him out, stop the bleeding.

and whom do you replace him with, pray tell?

youd have to start warming up the bullpen at the start of the game and take a couple walks to the mound to have a reliever ready to come out in time to humiliate roger.
