i read on another site, that over on san francisco's local sports radio, they were talking about a trade involving the marlins, astros, and giants. the trade would send Beltran to the giants, torrealba to the marlins, and the marlins would send some prospects to the astros. ANYONE ELSE HEAR ABOUT THIS?????

it would take mora than Torealba to get the prospects Houston would need to give Beltran.

 

not a logical 3 teamer if thats all that would be involved.

Torrealba isn't too bad, better than Treanor and his ONE RBI.

my friend who is an astros fan said the astros FO said any deal involving beltran is pure fabricated fantasy. looks like theyre not gonna deal away beltran.

Here's the reason they won't deal Beltran, they're 100% assured to have something to show for him by ST next year; they'll offer him arby, he'll likely sign with the Yankees, they'll get a pick as compensation, but more importantly, they still market the hell out of the rest of this year as the Astro's "glory days" with Beltran, Clemens, Bagwell and Biggio...he is not going anywhere...

Sounds like the scrub Contreras for our prospects for Beltran trade rumor Yankees fans were putting out a month or two ago.
