Wild Card

Featured Replies

I know the consensus has been that the wild card will not come from the NL east, but if San Diego loses today the marlins will move to within 4 games of the Wild Card. If the Fish can keep up this hot streak, and the Braves continue to play well I would not be surprised if the Wild Card becomes a possibility.

The Marlins goal now is to just take care of business. There are still two months left in the season and plenty of time to worry about playoffs and Division titles or Wild Card berths, etc.

The Marlins can do better than the WC this year and win the division, but they need to take care of their business, beat the teams they should beat ::cough Expos:: and take try to take 2 out of 3 from most of the teams that they have from now till the end of the season.

No worries, guys! :thumbup

The only way we'll have shot at either the wild card or division title is to keep winning. We can't worry about what others are doing right now.

We need to take this momentum and win 7 of the next 9 against the Expos, D'Backs and Brewers to get back into both races.
