Here's a Thought!

We play great against the good teams but dreadful against teams we should beat one handed. So if we ever do make it to the playoffs (not bloody likely) we should win every game.

That was all in good humour, this isn't... WHAT THE F*** was that? None of their pitchers tonight had an ERA under 5!!!! Lowell, our most clutch hitter all season hits into a double play when the tying run (Lo Duca, what a player, will he be here beyond next year?) is on 1st. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! This team drives me nuts!

Sod it, it is 5.10 IN THE MORNING and I have just spent 3 hours 'watching' that disaster on MLB Gameday and I'm off to bed.

Also, comisorations to Dontrelle, NO WAY does he deserve that loss.

Third straight game Mikey grounds into a DP. Second straight counting game Mikey grounds into a DP in the ninth representing either the tying or go ahead run.

You are a fly ball hitter man, put it in the air.

Jack needs to move Mikey lower and Mikey needs to start using the brain god gave him.

:thumbdown Why don't you create a thread on that one? What's next? Willis batting lead-off, Mike Lowell can't field so put him in the outfield? Fire McKeon? ...

So it's ok to hit into DPs in the ninth inning when the game is on the line?

I'm not saying he sucks, I'm not saying he get traded, I'm not saying he get benched or moved. He should start putting the ball in the damn air again.

Why do you take any criticism of the Marlins players and coaches screwing up like you do? Something needs to be done.

The only snake reliever without serious command problems is Koplov - Lowell should have sat there with the bat nailed to his shoulder until a there was a 2-strike count (same goes for Louie).

Piss poor scouting and execution.

I said the same exact thing to my brother, but you have to wonder if Lowell still would have GIDP if it was a 3-0 count like it should have been. This team needs to bounce back tommorow against the Unit maybe that will be the spark we are so desperatly seraching for.

yea, Mikey was awful last month

and he has been awful all year

some of yee are dumb

So I can't point out that if he would have put the ball in the air, like he should, that the last two games would have had a better chance?

wow Willis did get the loss.... bad scoring by the scorer IMO

well its not

That 2-0 call was horrible. The catcher had to reach way in to catch it... Yes, he was setup outside, but that ball was way inside. Makes you wonder what could have happened had the count been 3-0, instead of 2-1.... Friggin umpire.

Um... the scorer has nothing to do with it. Willis gave up the go-ahead run. I suppose the official scorer should charge both runs on the Bautista HR to Seanez also... sheesh.

sorry, it was my assumption the scorer got to choose who the loss would go to there

sometimes he gets the choice on who gets the win

Rarely does the official scorer get the choice of who gets the win. It usually only happens when the starter goes less than 5 innings and a plethora of relievers come in to get the win, especially if the starter left with a lead and the lead is retained for the rest of the game. In other words, it happens rarely, and when it does, it is rather confusing.

here's a better idea.

let's all quit.

let's have the team pack up and move to Tijuana.

things are so bad afterall and 80% of the players suck.

its all over and there is no chance for anything to occur.

The Padres claim Tijuana as exclusive territory. They even dub Rick Sutcliffe from Padres TV in spanish there. :plain
