August 6, 200422 yr AAA Albuquerque Lost 16-13. I swear that stadium is more of a hitters park than Coors. August 6, 200422 yr I still liken Vargas to Bartolo Colon. The FO better keep him a starter. The guy is a stud in the making. I want to see what Tankersley is doing.

We have a lot of very good pitching at the lower levels. That is exciting. But a problem on the horizon will be AAA Alberquerque (sp?). The PCL is a hitter's league with hitter's parks. So our pitcher's ERAs will be inflated somewhat, but I would monitor the pitchers who get a lot of K's as they are going to be more able to keep their ERAs down. I just hope though, and I am sure that this is the case, that our FO looks at more than just ERA. Control, changing speeds - those are the foundamentals to being a good, consistent pitcher and those are the things that the organization does seem to be stressing. Vargas, Olsen, Tankersley - those guys look like 3 stud lefties. Wow...
August 6, 200422 yr Author Whats happened to Brad McCann from Jamestown? I havent seen in in the lineup for awhile. 498333 he must be injured. He got off to a great start, but like you said hasn't been in the lineup for a while.
August 6, 200422 yr Author Tankersley makes his 2nd start of the season tonight. and I can confirm that McCann is on the DL.
August 6, 200422 yr Author Vargas is a stud. Who's Jeff Inglin and what position? 498302 He's a journeyman, 29 years old. He plays the corner outfield positions. He's having a nice season currently hitting .311, but still nothing to get too excited about.
