Hialeah Park...

Featured Replies

That would be awesome and it worked well in places like San Francisco which has a lot of companies, but there just arent enough companies down here, and there is even less corporate spirit.

The marlins have more than 65 corporate partners, they could do it. The only way a team could survive is with corporate help. Not individual fan or government help, you need to local business community to get involved. let me compile a list of companies that could do this.

Well, corporate partners are different than local corporations. Like, I believe Coca-Cola is a partner, but would they give $5 million for a team in Miami, which they have no ties to? They helped with Turner Field, but thats because Atlanta is their headquarters.

Coca-Cola would love to spend $5 million in advertising and a 10 year skybox. a sky box costs about $15 million for 10 years. It is a deal.

Henry wanted to have the public pay for it. He wanted to put as little money and effort as possible. He saw it as a dead cause. He wasn't going to say here much longer. 1999-2001 is not a long time.

i would love to see it downtown ft.lauderdale..... but didnt broward county did reject the marlins 4 a ball park some time ago...

I would love to se it there on sunrise.....

Sunrise folks where i live are average folks poor but that Xtremely poor... i mean where i live it aint safe tehier but no place is comoletley safe..... but SUNRISE cops got my area on lock..... its Lauderhill is where its real bad...

when john henrey owned da club and said Lauderhill was a good place " I WAS LIKE ARE f***ING SERIOUS???"...

Lauderhill is just as bad as Hialeah.....

i wish Ft>lauderdale would step up and do something and so would broward county... reason we got the panthers cuz they went to da CUP in 1995..

i bet we get the marlins to if they did good... i truley belivie that if the 97 team was in tact we would ahve got our ball park back in 99 and be playin in it right now..

Oh WELL..... keep hope, we keep winning and make a playoff push i think we will MOST def get the attention we desreve and Broward county will step up

good, so you can add Wal-Mart to my list and florida's Natural. These are all possible companies or companies that do sponsor the marlins.

Just checked Yahoo! Maps and I see that it is big but... small highways around it... Palm Ave which is on the western side is beyond horrible, E 22nd ST is a small 2 lane road, Flamingo Way (E 4th St) is a secondary highway, and E 21th st is acceptable... that would be one of the worst places to place a baseball stadium... and it just as bad as the downtown...

Couldnt agree with you more about the roads. The only highway somewhat close by is the 826, but where does that have the most traffic, even though they just finished major construction in the area? Hialeah. I really dont see this as a viable option. If this is such a good choice, why wasnt it on the finalist list for stadium sites last time? That would be a disaster in traffic... a stadium bordered by 4 secondary highways... :plain

You know this would be good tho because the PBC, Broward people won't go and the Dade County people won't go anyways so you get an empty stadium with an empty parking lot with no traffic :p :lol
