doubleheaders

Featured Replies

how do they work, regarding ticket sales?...can u buy for the 1st game and stay for both?i was watching the marlins-expos 2nd game highlights and it looked really empty. so i just wanted to know.

You buy one ticket for both

I know for the Yankees, if one of the games in the double header is a makeup, you have to have tix to both games to see both.

All double headers you only need to buy one ticket for both games. For example the double header against the Cubs on the 20th, if you buy a ticket for the first game you can stay for the second.

In places where they know they will get a sellout for both games (Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, Giants) they will make it so your one ticket will get you into only one game.

In other stadiums that harldy sellout they make it that one ticket grants you admission to both games.

There are two types of doubleheaders.

The traditional doubleheader with about 30 minutes between the two games, these you buy one ticket and see both games.

A split doubleheader with a much larger break between games, these they clear out the stadium and you must have two tickets to see both.
