I'm going to see Mike Moore tonight

Featured Replies

The Big man himself is coming to speak at the good ole University of Florida in the O-Dome. The atmosphere is already festive with Republican protest (yes, some do protest) and even a College Republicans booth where you can dunk a look alike Mike Moore. I'll report on the evening later tonight. Wish me luck.

I believe there is also a look alike Sadam and Chirac at the dunking booth as well.

tonyi talks about the Kerry shunning our current allies in the WOT, but what about the culture war the Republicans have started with France and Germany? Every exchange student I speak with from there HATES our guts.

Moore is going to be coming to Dickenson College on Wednesday. A few of my friends and I, not being too far away from there, will be going to hear him. Should be interesting (to say the least).

Is that in PA?

I worked with a kid from Dickinson College this summer in New York. Incidently and hilariously he happened to prefer the same sex. Which is funny because he attends Dickinson College. And stuff. I know. I've hit an all-time low.

Yea, its in PA. Its about 45 minutes from Gettysburg College, so not a bad ride for us.

Moore should not be an icon for liberals. Listen to liberals who know what they're talking about, not some anti-American fata$$.

You can't go after conservatives who listen to Rush if you think Moore is creditable.

ZING!!!

And so true......

If you want to say he is stupid and full of crap then go ahead. But dont claim he is antiAmerican. Thats the same baseless accusation conservatives have thrown around for the past 4 years and one of the main reasons Im so enthusastic about the election. Saying someone is antiAmerican because they speak their mind is in itself antiAmerican.

The antiAmerican stuff gets under my skin. Especially when I hear it from people who have no clue about American history(not saying this is you chewbacca) or have never read any of the works of the founding fathers. Some people who throw out that insult cant even tell you who wrote Common Sense or what the Federalist papers were.

Im not a Moore supporter and agree with you chewbacca. Conservatives who listen to Rush and Savage irk me just as much as anyone who swallows everything Moore says. He is a valid response to the crap they spew though. Fight fire with fire I guess.

OK, I'm off. Moore goes on at 8, but the doors opened at 630. The sorority girls were talking about Moore all during dinner and campus is riles up. I cant wait. Expect an article from me around 1030-11pm.

Have fun man. Good luck gettin' through the Gators for Bush and the College Republicans and so on...

I don't think liberals are anti-american. Most are very patriotic. However, Moore simply goes so far to the left, he's no longer a liberal, just a lunatic.

Hes no different than Rush Limbaugh ro Michael Savage. The amount of conservatives operating in this way far outn umber the liberals.

By the awy I just returned from the O-Dome and the Moore's speech was a resounding success. Some nutty stuff happened. My article on the event should be posted soon. Looks like I might get published in the Alligator and a few liberal blogs wanting coverage of the event. So...I'm special....yay.

Now, I disagree with you on the Mike Savage part.

I went to it too. I went in really hating Michael Moore (yes, a liberal that hates Michael Moore), but he has a bit of charisma and is very entertaining. I definetely clapped and cheered on the College Republicans because I always love rooting for the underdog. It was a pretty good time.

That guy is a maniac. Far worse than Limbaugh or Moore could ever hope to be. I now see where you get some of your ideas about the Muslims from. I beg you never to listen to him again and study up on as much non-partisan Muslim history as you can. Christ, please dont tell me the Islamo-fascist thing is your outlook on Muslims. AGH!!! People like him that spread this hate...ugh. I dont even know what to say.

Where were you seated out of curiosity? I was on the south side middle deck and incidently 3 rows down from David Lee. Hes a pretty hardcore lib it seems.

I was in section J which would be on the west side. I was on the lower section. Sat by some foxy brunette Republicans. Definetely a good time.

No, he makes a damn good case on issues at home though.

I don't see Michael Savage as a conservative, the same way I don't see Moore as a liberal.

Savage is a racist facist.

582749[/snapback]

ok, were on the same page then. But a ton of conservatives buy all his crap (unfortunately it seems CFD does) just like a ton of liberals buy all of Moore's crap.

Michael Moore at Dickinson tomorrow.

He's already pissed a few people off because for the Q&A session, he only wants questions that are submitted ahead of time and that are screened by a panel of bipartisan students.

There are also a lot of protests planned, with a lot of the College Republicans joining those. I'm a pretty non-confrontational guy, so I'll be staying clear of those, but should be pretty interesting.

Now, I disagree with you on the Mike Savage part.

"You're one of those sodomites. You should only get Aids and Die, you pig"

Yeah, Mike Savage is not a bad guy.
