Beckett pitch again. Just imagine if it was Torborg's staff that was the reason Beckett hasn't fulfilled the dreams of Fish fans around the nation (Hey the five of us outside of Florida count right?)

Im very excited about it. Beckett who through 8 games has an ERA of 3.76 and has a record of 2-3 is going against Marlin for a day Mike Hampton 13 games has an ERA of 3.84 and a record of 3-4. Sorry my stats aren't as pretty as some of the other people out there...ramp...but it gets the point accross. Looks like its adding up to be a great game tomorrow. But first lets win the one tonight! :thumbup

yea i'm rely excited too

so where are you from then?

hey those are fine stats bigfishfan!

The way the Fish are swinging the bats tonight I want a sweep! I too am very interested to see how Beckett looks coming back, but we may not see him get into a groove until he's gotten a few starts. From hearing his quotes, he sounds like he's been itching to get back on the mound.

im from Springfield IL. A little bit outside of St. Louis. I get to see the Marlins live about once a year in STL. Unfortunatly that goes to the attendance at Busch rather than Pro-Player D'ho.

Personally until I looked it up I didn't know Beckett had done so well this year. I mean an ERA in the high threes is not too shabby.

I would love to see him come in and just sit down the first 15-18 Braves he faces and then gets taken out because I don't want to see him going too far in his first game back. Well ok lets be realistic 14-17 Braves with a Double play mixed in there. :thumbup

so what made you follow the marlins? you dont like the cardinals at all?

lol. I still kinda like the cardinal's. But when the Marlins first came into the league EVERYONE where we are from either likes the Cards or the Cubs.

It just gets old when one team will be competitive every year and the Cubs will eventually start to suck, but yet the Cubs fan always are sooooo arrogant every year.

so we just decided to get out of that whole routine and so paw and me both picked a new team. Well I won a Marlins helmet (one of the plastic ones) at a fair. Well they started out and I really liked them.

Well its been a decade and now forget the Cardinals I really like the way the Marlins' seem to be a team and never give up...no matter what the owners say, the media, their record, or their own fans.

I think 3 years ago the team motto hit it right on the head...

ALL GAME EVERY GAME...ALL HEART!

every day, every game, all heart

but we got the jist of it

:lol

nice to have you as a fan
