October 17, 200422 yr Just got back from the rally held on the UF campus that featured Pegheen Hanrahan (G-ville mayor), Rep. Ed Jennings, Rep. Rod Smith, and of course VP-candidate John Edwards. The atmosphere was excited of course and many yelling matches broke out across the large fenced in area between Bush people (outside) and Kerry people (inside). The only thing that intrigued me over the course of Edwards's speech was the 2 years public service for 4 years education bit. Anyone else go?

October 17, 200422 yr I'm going to The Kerry rally on Tuesday, got my two tickets after a huge door to door canvass accross our area yesterday. Got out a lot of signs(my own strategy of looking for signs of local canidates and going up to those houses to get them to volunteer and put up a sign) and talked to some undecides. Also had a big meet up before with the local dem volunteers and those bussed in from New York. Good time and looking forward to Tuesday and the next two saturdays when it's back to campaigning.

People lived off the mines here and are now only adjusting to factory work which is again being shipped off. It's about an hour or so out of Philly. Also the area where Bob Casey was from. He's here at The Kirby Center on Tuesday at 12, I believe.
