July 3, 200323 yr I think Mike handled himself very well on QAM this afternoon. Here's hoping that at some point this summer Mike and the FO can sit done and find some middle ground where they both can walk away with some new found mutual respect. Unlike LeBatard who is hell-bent on assasinating this franchise, I see this flareup as more of a lover's quarrel than a fight to the death. It's worth noting that Mike supported the moves to jettison CJ and Preston and bringing in Pudge when the Herald and most of the tv sports jocks ridiculed the team for the moves. In our emails over the last two days (as well as over the last season or two, none of which I think are appropriate to comment on here) he's been a gentleman and while we might agree to disagree, I think he wants baseball to succeed here as much as we do.

I hope you are right, but he needs to explain himself more instead of just ranting like he does.
