So was it lies?

Featured Replies

And by Bush, I mean the whole administration.

Did they lie about the WMD's in your opinion? And i know the intelligence was "bad" but do you think that was a lie too? That Kerry had to cover his ass by saying it was bad intelligence, and could have been handled differently?

So, was it all lies to get us to war? Or no.

I mean, for whatever reasons that you believe, we came, we saw...and were still there. So Lies? Yes? No?

Hell yes they lied. Bush would have done anything to get his war against Saddam, no matter what the cost. Look what happened to the former U.S. Ambassador who came out with information that the claim that Saddam was buying nuclear material from Africa was false. His wife was suddenly revealed to be a CIA operative, and there has been an ongoing investigation to determine who leaked her identity. So far investigators have been looking at the White House.

There's no proof or anything, but I kinda think they're in Syria.

But then, I'm also insane. Which is why I think rising oil prices are a plot by OPEC to hurt Bush.

Good grief, no, they didn't lie.

If you think they lied just to go to war, you are so far gone, it doesn't matter what side you're on, you're just too anti-Bush to even take seriously.

The WMDs are in lala land with Jimmy Hoffa.

Doesnt mean they lied, just means they went with bad intelligence, definteley a mistake, arguably a big one, but no lying

Plausible deniability will forever insulate this bunch.

There was definitely an embellishment of the truth, but a lot of this had to do with bad intelligence.

And for the people that forever question Bush's intelligence, how would someone so dumb come up with such an in depth plan?

don't you think is bush was not telling the truth they would have planted weapons in iraq so they wouldn't have looked as dumb as they did to the world?

D'UH

what ever happend to the UNDINABLE TRUTH THAT IRAQ HAD WMDs?!

Well Iraq did have WMD's, ask anyone in the Kurdish sector of northern iraq. The question was if they had WMD's in 2003, which apparently they did not so the intelligence was faulty

Psh, Naive soul.

They lied and continue lying to the American People. They are so good at it that 12 sheep in this board still believe in him.

Maybe Bush is just a pawn in this game, but his administration has been one of the most deceitful in history (counting Nixon's).

They pretty much lie in your face and you won't even remember until someone shows you a tape. d*** Cheney lied about the connections between Saddam and Al-Qaeda and continues to do so... He even had the balls to say on National TV during his debate with Edwards that he never "suggested" such a thing... What would you know, one hour later a video of Mr. Vice President "Suggesting" such a thing started to pop up.... Then Mr. President said that John Kerry exaggerated (translation: lied) when he quoted him as saying in 2002 that he didn't know where Bin Laden was and that he didn't care; then we saw him on tape saying exactly that.

For those of you who still support these people after seeing how they lie to your face... You have no excuse. You are sheep and you are... well, Stupid.

No no, here's where you go WAY wrong.

I am not stupid for my political beliefs.

Sheesh, it's a mindset, not intelligence. Argh.

The sad thing is this...

The majority of republicans continue to believe that (1) Sadaam was behind 9/11 (2) Sadaam was poised to attack the US with WMD

Talk about some scare tactics. All's fair in love and politics.

It was not a direct "lie," however, the Bush Admin hyped up the reports and I think we can know with certainty that BushCo went to war ASAP so as to blitzkrieg any thoughtful look at the intelligence.
