Lets just say we don't resign him what would everyone think if we acquire LHP Barry Zito? The A's want to trade someone from the big three to be able and resign Hudson after next season. Word has it that Beane has wanted to trade him for a while siting that "only power pitchers when in the playoffs" and he has been inconsistent lately. But I'd take a chance on him. :thumbup

probably a young pitcher of their liking to replace mulder in the future when they can't afford him. beane would have loved murphy but he's with the d-backs now.

Beckett and Seabass for Zito and Crosby... that would never happen but I can dream.

We got Murphy from the A's to begin with (for Redman) I doubt that he'd get us Zito.

 

I'd love to have Zito, but unless we decide that we're going to start becoming a serious player in free agency, we can't justify paying the prospect price it'll take to get Zito...those guys are our future starters in a year or two.

im not a big fan of jose lima, while everyone might disagree with me, i think he shows up the other team too much. i know he doesnt do it on purpose, and he simply does it out of his own excitement, but how would you feel if everytime you struck out you had a guy shaking his fist at you and being elated about getting you out. celebration is part of the game, but anything taken to excess can be harmful.
