November 7, 200421 yr new dolphins record...getting closer to nailing that 1st pick in the draft...i thought they had it to day but i guess i thought wrong again. anyway who do they face next week and where.
November 7, 200421 yr I pray for one thing and one thing only, a competent draft this year. I still have nightmares about wasting a #1 on *shudder* Jamar Fletcher. I really think this could be good for the franchise. Our defense should return pretty much intact (with Poole and Moore only getting better) and Chamber/Booker/Boston will all (hopefully) be healthy to give us the deepest receiving corps we've had. Combine that with McMichael and whatever RB we get this offseason (my money's on the Edge), and all we need to do is get a QB to build around from our draft. I mean, we're not a bad team getting the #1 pick, we're a team that had the worst offseason I think a team could ever have getting the #1 pick; we lost our two most important offensive weapons, and we should be able to return (Boston) or replace (Edge) those losses in the offseason through free-agency. Getting the #1 pick is almost a certainty at this point...I just wish there was a Michael Vick like player in this draft...figures that with our luck, we draw the #1 in the draft with no clear top prospect.

The Dolphins #1 offseason priority should be O Line, they have ignored it for 3 year now, and they cant afford to do it again. I wish there was a Michael Vick type player in the draft but there isnt :thumbdown which sucks, but what this team needs to do is trade down in the top 10, and get a top ten pick and 2nd rounder

Trade the #1 overall pick for a top-ten pick and the second rounder? Come on, anything in the top-4 requires at least two first round picks IMO. If the Dolphins have decided that they're less inclined to rebuild, they have to get a lot in return for that #1 pick from a team that is committed to rebuilding.
November 8, 200421 yr Michael Vick is the most overrated player in the NFL. Also, I'm not so sure the Fins need a big-name FA running back or draft a big name RB because Sammie Morris, Travis Minor, and Lamar Gordon do a more than adequate job. I say we trade picks with the Cowboys because they have 2 1st rounders that should be quite respectable.

In comparison to that, Ricky is an angel and the Raiders would give us a 1st round pick for Ricky. He'd fit in well.
